Proposal Tips (PLEASE READ)When developing your proposal, it is helpful to understand the history and trends of Deschutes-Ochoco RAC funding decisions. Analysis of successful projects includes the following observations:

Demonstrated partnerships and benefit to Forest Service lands Provides employment opportunities Proposes discrete on-the-ground projects rather than ongoing programs If necessary, NEPA must be complete Demonstrate matching funds or resources (although match is not required by statute). Make sure your budget is reasonable given the number of jobs and project outcomes While there is not a maximum, it is suggested that applications be no more than $30,000 Funds are allocated by county, so be mindful of the amount you request based on the location.

The funding breakdown for this cycle is: Crook $138,301 Deschutes $152,439 Jefferson $42,578 Klamath $62,244 Wheeler $24,023
