Vispieuxʼs are the result of many years of development. Here is what they are: The vispieux is a ground post not approuved nor galvanised. It is installed using manual machine held by two operators. The force given to the rotating post is limited by the force applied by the operators, consequentially the angle of the screw can not be to steep. In order to be able to hold the machine, the angle of the screw is rather low (about 4 degres). Consequentially if the screw was made in one piece, the opening between the toe and the heel of the screw would be so narrow that rocks would get cought in this opening impeding the penetration of the post. This is the reason why vispieuxʼs screw is made in two halves. 1.5 inch vispieux with two different adjustments, centred or offset. These are the pieces going in a vispieux: The body of the post is made out of square steel tubing of 1.5 in. either 0.125” or 0.188” thick. Square tubings are stronger than their round counter- part of the same dimension because there is more steel in them. The length of vispieuxʼs are 60” The halves screws are made of flat bar of 3 in.   • Angle of halves screws.

    The tip of the post is made of 1.5” flat bar by 0.188” thick, it is sharpened to ease penetration in the soil.

    In order to increase production, a jig has been made to position the parts at the exact place time after time without having to measure for every post.

    Once completed, the posts are cleaned with a solvant and painted with a very good quality metal primer a very good quality paint is then applied on top of the primer giving an exel-lent corrosion protection.

  • In order to help penetration in the ground, the toe and the heel are slightly bent in opposite direc-tion.

    2 in. vispieuxʼs are made using two square tu-bings of 0.188” one in the other. In order to have them in the same axis they are forced one against the other.

    2 in. vispieux (the adjustments are the same as 1.5 in. ones)
