She's the 18-year-old Londoner who has taken the music industry by storm, has become best mates with a host of celebrities including the king of leon's Caleb Followill, Azealia Banks and Jack Black who describes her as 'the most mental kid I've ever met'. Elly B is definitely taking the spotlight recently. But where did this crazy new singer suddenly appear from?

Growing up in one of the roughest parts of Brixton in London elly grew up with her father in a small flat after her mother left when elly was a mere age of 4, "I think my father was my biggest inspiration for my music, he would always be playing the classics, acdc,kiss, nirvana they're all my faves!" She had a rough time whilst she was young and faced difficult issues but is a strong inspiration for teens her age. Elly may appear to be a blonde girly girl but you should never judge a book by its cover! After recently appearing on the Jonathan Ross show viewers watched her talk about bungee jumping, swimming with sharks and falling off stages "I've had a mad life and I'm only 18!".

Over the last year she's had 7 number 1's in the UK and 7 in the US, she's won two Grammys including best newcomer and has been nominated for 5 brit awards. Also in a recent interview kanye west described her to be 'fresh' and 'takes a modern look on rock music' taking all of this into account she is still described as 'down to earth' and 'a lovely person' by Sharon osbourne. " I love the osbournes they're like another family to me" elly got close to the family whilst she was on the show adrenaline junkies and since then their relationship has grown with them being seen together often at restaurants or just chilling.She has never ceased to amaze us with her music talents, not only is she a singer but can play drums, lead guitar, bass guitar, piano and even confessed she learnt the flute when she was little! "music is in my blood" her father Steve burton was in the semi famous rock band 'the pythons' which had a number one single "escape" in 1990.

However, she caused a lot of controversy in a recent interview where she slated Justin beiber for being 'fake' and said, "let's be honest nobody really likes his music, he changes his image to what the people want and isn't being himself, he's doing it for the money!" The interviewer was speechless and a few hours later Justin tweeted "I love my fans at the end of the day they mean the world to me #believe"
