Proposal FormTitle & Theme My magazine will be based on home living and different styles around your house. The ideal name for

my magazine would be called ‘Home Style’ because it relates with my ideas with showing new styles in your home. In my magazine I will display images of homes with techniques on how you can give your house a new modern, old or traditional look. I will also present pictures of transformations in homes that have had a whole new look showing images side by side from before and after.

Core Audience The main ideal audience for my magazine would be for women between the ages of 30 to 60 , preferable for women who work, have a family and own a nice stylish house. Other women might buy this magazine if they have just purchased a first house and are looking for how to decorate their new home. I would imagine these women are very clean and neat, who love to be around family and think creatively.

Secondary Audience The secondary audience for this magazine could be for people who study a design course and want to look for ideas, these people could be teenagers or students in college or university between the ages 15 to 25. They are people who also enjoy arts and crafts and are creative thinkers who desire to become an interior designer one day.

Cover Appeal My front cover will contain a big bold title placed at the top of the page with the main image below it. The main image will be a well decorated room from my own house containing the same colour scheme as the magazine. I will also have subheadings around the image telling the viewer what more is inside the magazine this will also be in bold text. My subheadings will have information about the season decorations for around your home and shopping ideas when buying home accessories.

Feature Article Appeal My main article will show styles of a perfect bedroom and great colour schemes to appeal to my audience showing them the new style for spring and summer. The house style will be kept pretty simple with fancy fonts to represent the article on ‘beautiful bedrooms’. The colour scheme for my page will be similar to the colours on the front cover depending on the colours displayed in the images, this will tie in with the font colours and background colour.

Advertising The advertising in my magazine will show a range of home shops and home accessories store which will fit in with my magazine of house and home interior which will appeal to my audience. Advertising home stores in a home magazine will more than likely help get the audience interested in buying people are reading my magazine purposely for new ideas for around the house.

Production Plan

Target Audience • My magazine’s theme is lifestyle and home ideas meaning that this

magazine would mainly be aimed at women, because they are more known to read these types of magazine.

• My target audience is therefore aimed at women between the ages of 20-80, and also people who love to take care of their home.

• The main colours I mainly used for the magazine are mostly light pinks and blues because these colours are more ‘girly’ to suit the audience.

• I also used fancy fonts within the magazine to also make it look pretty but professional to make it look more attractive to the women audience, so that it stands out over other magazines.
