• A revolutionary new way of tracking your mail as it travels through the Postal Service. Just by going to a web site you can find out if and when your mail has been delivered.

• PLANET codes, a barcode technology developed by the Postal Service that allows mailers to print an additional barcode on a mail piece that provides the Postal Service with tracking information on that piece. Every time a mail piece goes through a barcode sorter, the PLANET code is read and the whereabouts of that piece is captured. That same data is transmitted to TrackMyMail.com™ who then compiles the data and provides us with easy to read, easy to use data, generally within a couple of hours of the scan!

• You can print your own PLANET codes, and use Trackmymail.com for your tracking services. The system will provide you with a PLANET code number and all of the forms you need to turn in with your mailing. The system is designed to work for the small business user.

• Our mail tracking kit, the tracKIT™ provides you with preprinted peel-and-stick PLANET code labels that you can use for sampling your mail. You don't need to develop new barcode printing technologies. with a tracKIT™ everything you need is in one easy to use kit.

• You just register your mailing on the web, apply the PLANET codes to a sampling or every piece, and go back to the web site to watch the delivery results. No software installation is needed just a Web browser.

Intelligent Mail® has been available from the Postal Service™ since September, 2006, and has been used to route and track billions of pieces of mail since then. “Intelligent Mail®” is a suite of services that uses a new barcode. The Intelligent Mail® barcode (IM™BC) is a 65 bar barcode using bars of four different lengths/positions, formerly known as a four-state barcode.

Intelligent Mail® currently includes the following services:

• Mail routing – The IM™BC contains all of the information contained in the postnetbarcode currently used on mail pieces, providing the ZIP®+4 and delivery pointinformation;

• Confirm® – This Postal Service™ program follows mail as it travels through automatedsorting equipment, returning scan data to subscribers that can be used topredict delivery. This functionality was provided by adding a second barcode, thePLANET Code®, before the IM™BC was released in 2006;

• OneCode ACS™ – ACS™ is the acronym for Address Correction Service, a servicefrom the Postal Service™ that returns information to the subscriber when a pieceof mail is undeliverable (or the reason for nondelivery) along with a new addressif available.

Electronic Return ReceiptElectronic Return Receipt

Say goodbye to “green cards” and enjoy even greater savings.

What is Electronic Return Receipt (eRR)?What is Electronic Return Receipt (eRR)?

• Electronic Return Receipt is a service that enabled the mailer to receive an electronic file (.PDF) with delivery tracking information such as date/time, delivery address, name of recipient, and recipient's signature.

• While the benefits between electronic and traditional return receipts are similar, an organization must evaluate the differences between the two methods to identify the best solution for their organization. The USPS has made the following statement regarding Electronic Return Receipt: "Return Receipt (electronic) is an official Postal Service document designed to be the equivalent to the hardcopy return receipt."All Certified Mail recipients regardless of whether a Return Receipt (hardcopy) is attached, must sign USPS form 3849 (a peach color form) in ink.  The signature and delivery information from this form is scanned into USPS systems and is used for the Electronic Return Receipt (if purchased).  If the Return Receipt (hardcopy) is attached, the customer is actually signing two forms (Hardcopy Return Receipt and form 3849)
