Making a Spinnerbait

Tools and Materials Metric Sizes

200mm x 1mm stainless steel straight spinning wire

1 small piece .3mm brass or copper sheet

1 split ring + medium sized swivel or a medium sized snap swivel

1 drilled weight between 3gr and 15gr

1 hook 3/0, 4/0 or 5/0

115mmx 10mm bungee cord

1 x short piece of 12mm heat-shrink tubing (as alternative use small elastic band or ‘o’ ring)

1 x 2mm dia round nails or steel pin to use as a punch

Piece of hardwood or MDF to use with the punch

Household paper glue

Super glue or epoxy as alternative

Powder coating paint

Wire for holding weights while powder coating

Acrylic paint for eyes

Clear nail varnish

Nail for eye painting

Tools

Heavy duty scissors like kitchen or poultry scissors

Coarse bench sharpening stone, oil stone, waterstone or diamond

Dessert spoon

Ball and pein hammer

General purpose pliers

Long nose pliers

Heat gun for powder coating or alternative heat source

Sharp craft knife

Lighter for heat-shrink tubing or heat gun
