Making my contents page

First stage

Before I could start making my contents page I had to research present music magazines.

This was my research which I carried out:

I also had to look at present music magazines to plan what pages I would put in my magazine.

My first stage in making my contents page was adding the images which I was going to use. I decided to have my image which is linked to my main article the biggest image to show the importance. I added the other two images as they are linked to stories in my magazine. I also made the decision of putting two of my images on a diagonal to improve the layout of my contents page.

To make my images look better and more professional I decided to add black backgrounds to two of my images.

After researching music magazines I found that I liked the idea of putting the month’s issue as the title of the contents page. I also found that a convention of a magazine is to have the website of the magazine on the contents page. I decided to follow this convention.

Further progression

Adding textWhen I planned my contents page to make it look like present magazines I decided to section my magazine.

I also decided to make the titles of my sections a different font to make it look more interesting.

The next step was to simply add the page numbers and what would be the content.

Finished contents pageThis is my finished contents page. I think this is successful as I have stuck to my colour scheme which I have used. Also personally I like the layout of my contents page. I decided to add symbols before each page number to add more interest.
