A Message to Our Sweet Fans

During this time of festivities and togetherness, we would like to share a few words about SweetLeaf® Stevia Sweetener, a family owned and operated business run by several generations of the May family.

The holidays are a time for coming together and making cherished memories with loved ones. For our family, much like families across the globe, this time of the year is made even more special by the food we share as a group. While we all strive to provide our loved ones with nourishment which will provide satisfaction and sustenance, the holidays tend to be a time of year when we forgo healthy eating for comfort foods laden with added sugars. This year, we would like to let you know that by simply making one sweet change from added sugars to SweetLeaf Stevia Sweetener products, you can deliciously reduce the amount of sugars, calories, and carbs on your holiday menu.

Although everything we do at SweetLeaf is a labor of love, our website’s recipe section is especially close to our heart. It is here where the opportunity for implementing real change in your life is most present. The step-by-step instructions guide you through the process to recipe success, enabling you to make one sweet change for significant results.

We have selected a few of our favorite holiday recipes to share in this Holiday Cookbook. We hope you will try them and see how truly easy it is to make one sweet change for yourself and your loved ones.

Happy Holidays,The May Family

Brown Butter Sweet Potatoes

Transfer the sweet potato mixture to a baking dish and allow enough space to top the potatoes with the meringue.

Spread or pipe meringue onto the sweet potatoes and bake at 270 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, or until the meringue has browned and obtained a crust. Remove from the oven and serve.

Spiced Apple and Havarti Stuffed Turkey Breast

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and set aside. Combine the apple, onion, sage, thyme, and Pumpkin Spice Sweet Drops in a small bowl.

Using a sharp knife, make a deep slit along the thickest side of the turkey tenderloin, with your knife parallel to the cutting board to create a pocket. Cut far into the breast, but not all the way through.

Layer slices of havarti inside the pocket and then push the apple stuffing on top of the cheese. Bring the edges of the meat together and create a seal to keep the stuffing from falling out. Tie the meat together with butcher’s twine or use toothpicks to seal the meat together.

Spread olive oil over tenderloins and season liberally with salt and pepper. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the meat reads 165 degrees F.

Remove turkey from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Remove the twine or toothpicks, and then slice the turkey to serve.

• 1/2 tsp. SweetLeaf® Liquid Stevia Pumpkin Spice Sweet Drops™

• 2 turkey tenderloins, 12-oz. each

• 2/3 cup apples, peeled and diced

• 1/3 cup sweet onion, diced

Stollen

Warm the milk to 100 to 110 degrees F. Add in two packages of yeast and let stand for 10 minutes. In a stand mixer, place all the dry ingredients inside the bowl and mix on low until all the ingredients are combined.

When the yeast is ready, add all of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix with the mixer’s bread hook for 4 minutes on low, then on medium speed for 2 minutes. Remove the dough from the bowl and let it sit for one hour, then place in the refrigerator overnight to ferment.

The next day, divide the dough into three equal pieces. Pound each piece into a 6-by-9-inch rectangle shape and roll into a tube. Once done, place all three tubes on a cookie sheet and loosely wrap in plastic film. Let tubes stand for 30 minutes in a warm area.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Once removed from the oven, liberally brush with melted butter and wrap each stollen with plastic film. When the stollens are cool, place in the refrigerator. To serve, dust with powdered sugar and slice.
