Going into this project, I was not sure how to look at it. I did not know what I wanted my theme to be or what exactly to take pictures of. At first, I just took pictures of ev-erything and anything to document my life. As I started to get ideas from other’s work, I began thinking more about a theme. I thought a good theme would be people in their comfortable enviroments because that is what a lot of my photos were of. Then, I started re-thinking. One day in school I needed to take pictures so obviously I needed to take some around the school’s area. Once I began noticing how interesting my photos were, I found my theme. A few days a week, I walk around the school with a DSLR camera and take pictures. I take or took pictures of things everybody notices and of things most people do not pay at-tention to. When I walked around the back is when I found the most interesting things. The more they are not noticed, the more they will attract a person’s eye. People like to look at things and ask “Where was that taken?” Every single picture in this book is something I thought hard about before actually pressing that button. Photography is an art and it is the artist’s job to make it’s subject an art even if the subject is ugly or something people see every day. Although, my photos are not of pretty people or pretty landscapes, they have there own prettiness. They have the “Wow” factor! I enjoyed this experience and this hunt to find things that the adverage person does not notice, not just in school but also in the real world. At first it was difficult, but it became easier and easier when I stopped looking and let what I needed come find me. When you think to hard about something, it becomes harder to find what you are looking for. I think I met my goals and I hope the world can see them too.
