watch during loading and discharging. Connecting and disconnecting dock hoses, loading arms and large hose connections while moored. Operating hose cranes and smaller stores cranes. Deck maintenance, butterworthing, and tank and pipe line clean ups. Mooring, docking and anchor evolutions.

Most loads involved two or more classes of petroleum products requiring careful segregation during loading and discharging.
