Testis (plural testes)

The testes are the two-ovalshaped male organs thatproduce sperm and hormonetestosterone.

Each testis is made of tightlycoiled structures calledseminiferous tubules.

*Testosterone- the primarymale sex hormone

Epididymis

The epididymis, a whitishmass of tightly coiled tubescupped against the

testicles, acts as amaturation and storage forsperm before they pass intothe vas deferens, that carry

sperm to the ampullarygland and prostatic ducts.

VasDeferens (Ductus Deferens)

The vas deferens is a thintube that starts from theepididymis to the urethrain the penis.

They are the seminal vesicles, the prostategland, and the bulbourethral glands (Cowperglands).

Seminal Vesicles

The Seminal Vesicles aresac-like structuresattached to the vasdeferens at one side of

the bladder.

They produce a sticky

yellowish fluid thatcontains fructose.

Prostate Gland

The Prostate Glandsurrounds the ejaculatoryducts at the base of the

urethra, just below thebladder.

The Prostate Gland is

responsible for making theproduction of semen.

Bulbourethral Glands(Cowpers gland)

The BulbourethralGlands are two smallglands located on the

sides of the urethra justbelow the prostate gland.

These glands produce aclear, slippery fluid thatempties directly into theurethra.
