Malta, officially known as the Republic of Malta, is a SouthernEuropean island country consisting of an archipelago in theMediterranean Sea between Sicily and the North African coast.It lies 80 km (50 mi) south of Italy, 284 km (176 mi) east ofTunisia, and 333 km (207 mi) north of Libya. Malta is one of theworld's smallest and most densely populated countries, at over316 km2 (122 sq. mi) with a population of about 475,000. MALTA RESIDENCE &VISA PROGRAM - MRVP

The Malta Residency and Visa Program, was launched by the ParliamentarySecretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, Dr. Jose’ Herrera, in2015. Following the passing of relevant legislation in July 2017, the MaltaResidence and Visa Agency (MRVA), was entrusted with the regulation andrunning of the Malta Residence and Visa Program (MRVP).

This program falls under the Immigration Act and is available for applicantswho are third country nationals, along with their dependents (i.e. Spouse,children, parents and parents-in-law). This excludes EU/EEA AND Swissnationals.

The applicant must not be under the Residents Scheme Regulations, the HighNet Worth Individuals (EU/EEA/Swiss Nationals Rules), the Malta RetirementProgram Rules, the Residence Program Rules, the Qualifying Employment inInnovation and Creativity Rules or the Highly Qualified Persons Rules.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

✓ Be at least 18 years of age, a third country nationaland not a Maltese, EEA or Swiss national;

✓ Have an annual income of no less than €100,000from outside of Malta, or have capital no less than€500,000;

✓ Invest in government bonds for €250,000 and holdfor at least 5 years;

✓ Hold a qualifying property for a minimum of 5years;

✓ No criminal record✓ Maintain health insurance policy✓ Subject to a successful due diligence check;

Dependents: the spouse; child under 18 years old or child of any age economically dependent; economically dependent parents and grandparents.
