Space. Nothingness. A hunk of green metal floats by Jupiter. It is in an almost human-like shape. It continuesto float, towards Earth. As it nears, the robots eyes flicker, turning red.Brain Interactive System active.

S U P E R M A N : M A N O F T O M O R R O WCUT TO:We see a huge, gleaming city. Metropolis.

CUT TO:

A tall building, The Daily Planet, is seen.

CUT TO:Inside, Clark Kent and Lois Lane sit at the same desk, looking at a computer.

Lois: So, youre saying that Bruno Mannheim leads the Intergang?

Clark: Well, why wouldnt he? Crime lord, has connections to Carmine Falcone, it all adds up.Lois: The police have been tracking the Intergang for years now Clark, back when you were in Smallville.They operate on their own.Then we put a Could in front of the title.

A middle-aged, slightly overweight man walks into the room. Perry White.

Perry: Lois. Clark. Id like you to meet the new intern, Jimmy Olson.An average height, thin, ginger teenager walks up to Lois and Clark. He shakes both of their hands.Perry: Hes going with you to your new assignment.Lois: Where are we heading?Perry: There was a meteor crash downtown. People are calling it a UFO, or some bullshit. Whatever it is,find out.

Jimmy: Dont worry chief. Well have that story in no time.Perry: Oh, thats great Jimmy. Oh, by the way, dont call me chief! He stormed off.Jimmy: Does he always do that?Clark: Youd be surprised.He patted Jimmy on the back, and they walked into an elevator.

CUT TO:METROPOLIS PARK

A huge crater is in the middle of the park.

Trees have fallen, and small fires surround the hole. Civilians and police alike stand near the wreckage.Clark, Lois, and Jimmy walk forwards, each armed with a camera. They flash their press badges.Cop: Hold up. What about the kid?Lois: Intern.Cop: Fine.They walk to the crater, and peer in. A mechanical, green figure is within. The same one floating in space.Lois: Jimmy, picture. Clark get an interview with the police. Ill do one with bystanders.Clark: You know... let Jimmy get the interview.Lois rolled her eyes.Lois: Fine. Go.Jimmy did a fist pump, and ran to the people.Lois walked away, leaving Clark at the crater. He took a picture of the crater, fallen trees, and a few more. He

then looked into the hole, and took a picture of the space junk. Suddenly, it lurched upwards. Wiresconnected to others, and metal plates came together. An arm came out of the hole, and another. The robotpulled itself out of the crater, and looked at Clark.

Kal-El. Do you know? Do you know who you are, Kal-El? What power you really have? Do you know whoyour parents are? Do you know where you came from? And do you know who I am?

Clark: Who?I have no official name, but you may call me the Brain Interactive System.Clark ran. He ducked into an alleyway. Superman flew out.The robot was walking slowly through the park. Everyone was running. Lois was on her phone.Lois: Clark, where the hell are you? I know this is a good photo opportunity, but you are out of your MIND!She hung up, and got into her car, with Jimmy. Superman flew over, lowering to the robots level. He dodgedtrees, and hit the bot. It went flying through trees, eventually hitting the ground. It tumbled, being scraped,dirt getting on the metal. Superman ran towards the shell, and looked down at it. The robot got up, andbackhanded Superman. He crashed into the bathrooms, dust covering his suit. Missile came out of the

robots wrist, flying at Superman. He blasted it with heat vision, causing it to explode in front of the bot.Superman flew forwards, and hit it, slamming the body into the ground. He picked the robot up, and slammedit into the ground again. Superman punched the head, and the lights in its eyes flickered off. Supermanlooked at it again, and flew away as police cars pulled up.

CUT TO:--UNDISCLOSED LOCATION--

A blond, muscular man opens a large crate.

He is General John Corbin, with two soldiers. Within the crate is the robot. A 40-something, bulky, black

woman walks towards him. Amanda Waller.

Waller: First Flash, now this... General, you need to convince the President to approve Task Force X.Corbin: Im sorry Miss Waller, but I cannot accept. As much as I want to help take down these vigilantes, ifthe President declines. so will I.Waller: How... honorable. Well then, well call you when weve studied the mechanics. When we recreate it,youll have an army. Maybe well finally end the war in-Corbin: What was that? You can insult me all you like, but do not insult my country.Waller: We know about you Corbin. We know about your deals with LexCorp, Maxwell Lord, terrorists,GothCorp, everything. How else could someone so young rise to your position so quickly?The Generals eye twitched.Corbin: Listen, I am going to stay here, and watch over you. I will report anything that I disprove while you

are playing with this toy, and I swear to God, if you step out of line in the least, I will have this organizationshut down! Do you hear me?!Waller simply looked at him, and walked away.

CUT TO:SMALLVILLE

A small farm is seen. Clark sits on thee porch. An old man and woman, each holding a cup of tea, sit withhim. Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Clark: That... that thing called me Kal-El. I know Im not from... here, but... Its just weird. Figured Id come toyou.Pa: Clark, its nothing to get excited about.Clark: But it said that, basically, I didnt know who I am. Or was.Ma: Clark, you are our son, and you live on Earth. That is all you need to know.Pa: Martha, just leave the boy be. Now, son, it doesnt matter who you are, or what you can do. You havemade a difference. Since Superman showed up two years ago, criminals are running scared. Metropolis is asafe-haven.Ma: Thank the Lord the people love you, unlike that freak in Gotham.Pa: But, back to my point. It doesnt matter who you are, or what you can do that defines you Clark. Its youractions.Clark: Thanks. Can I stay the night? Getting rainy.Ma: Sure. Ill make toast.

The Brain Interactive System is laid on a table. Scientists surround it.

Waller and Corbin look down from a room, with a large, glass window.Corbin: This had better not fail.Waller: What makes you think it will? Okay men, Project: Brainiac is a go.The scientists approached the robot. One looked inside.Scientist: I have a cut wire. Going to reconnect them.He put the wires together. Sparks flew out, and the robots eyes flickered on. They became red. It sat up, asmetal became smoother, and reconnected. He knocked back the scientists, and looked directly at Waller.

Waller: Get your men in there.She grabbed a pistol, and ran out of the room. Corbin grabbed a walkie talkie.Corbin: All men, get to the experimentation room. Brainiac is online. I repeat, Brainiac is online!He pulled a pistol out of his holster, and ran.

CUT TO:METROPOLISSuperman flies over the ocean, looking at warehouses.

He flies downwards, landing on one. He looked down. Using X-Ray vision, he saw a group of armed men, twoat the door, two at a desk, and five patrolling. He smiled, and flew up. Looking down at the warehouse, he

dive-bombed, crashing in. He floated above the men.Man #1: Its him! Get him!They all shot at him. The bullets either missed, or bounced off of Clark. Soon, the bullets stopped coming.Man #2: Oh, sh-Superman had gone down, and hit the man speaking. He dodged a punch, and uppercutted the man. Hesped towards another, lifted him up, and tossed him into another. He took out the rest. One was crawlingaway. Superman walked towards him, and grabbed the back of his neck.Superman: Youre part of the Intergang, right?Man #1: Yeah.Superman: Whos your boss?Man #1: Bruno Mannheim. Course. Im not gonna tell you where he is.Superman: You already told me everything I need to know.

He punched the man, and flew out.

CUT TO:--UNDISCLOSED LOCATION--Waller, Corbin, and three soldiers run into the room. Brainiac looks at them.

Brainiac: Where is Kal-El?Waller: Whos Kal-El?Brainiac: You do not know of the Kryptonian?Waller: Im afraid not.Corbin and his men rushed forwards, shooting Brainiac. The robot looked down, and laughed. It was cold,

and artificial.It walked forwards, feeling nothing. It swatted the men away like flies. Corbin looked up at therobot. He fired again and again, until he ran out of ammo. Brainiac grabbed the general. Waller ran to a PA.Waller: Evacuate the facility. We have a level 8 threat in the facility. I repeat, we have a level 8 threat in thefacility.She ran out, leaving the general.Corbin: Damn you Waller! Damn you!Brainiac crushed his body, as men and women alike ran from the area.

CUT TO:THE DAILY PLANETClark sat at a computer, typing. Lois approached him.

Lois: Whats that?Clark: Tomorrow's story. Turns out Bruno Mannheim is controlling the Intergang. I wrote it up, took somepictures, and Jimmy helped film it, and did some interviews. I just finished editing it. All set for the nextreport.Lois: Really? Well, while you were busy with the least important news of the day, I was working on the

attack.Clark: With the robot?Lois: Yeah. I have everything.Clark: Really? Sorry Lois, but while you were running, I watched. The robot called Superman Kal-El. It calleditself the Brain Interactive System. Might want to add that.Lois folded her arms.Clark: What?Lois turned around, and walked away.Clark: I love this job.

CUT TO:PERRYS OFFICELois walked into Perrys office.

Lois: You wanted to see me?Perry: I want you on an interview.Lois: With?Perry: Lex Luthor. I understand you have some history?Lois: Perry, If you think Ill interview Lex Luthor, then you are-Perry: Right. Now get going Lane, or your fired.

Lois: You wouldnt fire me.Perry: Wouldnt I?He smiled as Lois stormed out.

CUT TO:--UNDISCLOSED LOCATION--Brainiac stands over the nearly destroyed body of John Corbin.

Brainiac: You shall be the first of many General. You shall be a test. You shall be my greatest creation. Youshall be... Metallo.

CUT TO:

LEXCORP

Lois walks towards a large, imposing skyscraper.

She walks into an elevator, which goes up. She comes out, and flashes her press pass to a guard. He lets

her pass.

Miss Lane, what a... pleasant surprise.

Lois turned around. A tall, bald, intimidating man stood there. He was dressed in a suit and tie. And not

happy.

Lois: Lex Luthor. Hi.

Lex: So, are you here for an interview?

Lois: Unfortunately. Shall we go into your office?

Lex: Why wouldnt we?

Lois looked up at Luthor, who smiled.

John Corbin woke up, breathing heavily.

He looked around. He was in the facility.

Corbin: I should be dead.

Brainiac: Correct. You should be. But I have saved your life. You owe me.

Corbin: I will never do what you-

Brainiac backhanded John, sending him flying across the room. He crashed against a stack of boxes,

sending sparks flying. He slammed into the wall, leaving the shape of his body embedded in the stone.

Corbin fell to the floor, and picked himself up. He raised his fists, and Brainiac simply walked forwards. He

grabbed Johns head, and slammed it into the glass separating the testing room from a viewing area.

Brainiac grabbed Corbins face, ripping it off, along with part of the chest. He tossed it to the side, and put a

glass of glass to Corbins head. He screamed.

CUT TO:

LEXCORP

Lois walked into Lexs office.

The walls were glass, on all sides. A tall, blonde woman stood to the side, watching Lex.

Lois: So Lex, is she your new...?

Lex: Jealous?

Lois: Im a reporter Lex. Im not jealous, just curious.

Lex: I see. So, any questions you want to ask?

Lois: Whats your next project?

Lex: Im preforming an excavation across the world. Were looking for what seems to be a new mineral.

Lois: Is there any news on the LexSuit?

Lex: You know that it was captured by terrorists. However, we are producing more as fast as possible.

Lois: Now, Lex, what do you know about the recent attack?

Lex: Attack? Oh, you mean the robot. I have no idea what that was. Perhaps... a friend of Supermans?

He smiled. Lois didnt.

Lois: Which brings us to that. We all know that you dont trust him. Why?

Lex: We dont know what he wants. Hes obviously not from this planet. Maybe hes not from this galaxy. He

could be helping us today, and destroying us the next. He must be controlled.

Lois: Im sure. By the way, there has been a rumor that you planned the capture of the LexSuit.

Lex: Get out.

CUT TO:

METROPOLIS

People are running, screaming. The entire city is in red.We return to normal colors. Clark is walking on the sidewalk, hands in his pockets. Then hes hit with a slab

of concrete. He flies into an alleyway, and crashes into a dumpster. He picks himself up, not looking happy.

He rips off his shirt, revealing the Superman suit.John Corbin is walking through the streets. Cars swerve out of his way. One speeds at him. It collides with

his body, and the car tips up, falling onto the ground. It blows up, taking out more cars, people, and

absorbing Corbin. He walks out of the fire, the last of his artificial skin burning. Superman lands in front of

the robot.Superman: "Stand down."Metallo: "Oh no Superman. You're the one who should be standing down."Superman rushed forwards, and punched Metallo. He dropped to the ground, and laughed. It was cold,

disturbing, and horribly artificial. He pushed himself up, backhanded Superman, grabbed his arm, and threwhim into a wall. He rushed forwards, and rammed into Superman. They crashed through the wall, into a

bank. The people inside screamed and ran out. Superman got up, and blasted Metallo with heat vision. The

robot was knocked back, and Superman went forwards, landing blows to the sides of Corbin. He eventually

grabbed Clark's fists, putting pressure on them. Superman kneeled down in agony. He screamed, and

raised his arms, throwing Corbin through another wall and back to the streets of Metropolis. Superman

follows, and blasts heat vision, knocking Metallo down. He stands above Metallo, ripping off the head. The

body becomes lifeless, and Superman drops the head, flying away as the cops arrive.

CUT TO:

THE DAILY PLANET

Lois bumps into Jimmy Olsen, who drops his camera.Lois: "Jimmy? Oh my god, I'm sorry."Jimmy: "Don't worry about it. Say, have you seen Clark? Have to show him these photos."Lois: "I think he left. Perry gave him a half-day."Jimmy: "He does that?"Lois: "Amazing, huh? Would you mind coming with me? There was an attack downtown. I'd want a camera

backing me up."

Jimmy: "I'm your guy. You can count on me Miss Lane."Lois: "Thanks Jimmy. But technically, it's Ms. Lane."Jimmy: "You were...?"Lois: "Yes. Didn't work out. It's nothing Jimmy, now let's go."

CUT TO:


Brainiac stands over the destroyed remains of two scientists.Brainiac: "Perfect. Two more test subjects."The robot's head turns from the scientists to a large crate, glowing green. He approaches it, and raises his

hand. A blast of energy comes out, destroying the box. Green crystals spill out. Brainiac laughs.The Next Day

CUT TO:

THE ARCTIC

Superman flies past snowy hills.He goes towards a large, crystal fortress. The Fortress of Solitude. Superman lands in front of the fortress.

He looks up at the doors, which open. He goes inside. Superman approaches a large podium. A control

panel is at the base. Clark presses a button, and a hologram of a 30-something man. Jor-El.Superman: "Father, I have encountered the Brain Interactive System. He seemed to know of me."The hologram flickers, and soon, Jor-El speaks: "My son, I have recorded these messages to help you. To

prepare you. But nothing can prepare you for Brainiac. He was my creation. I designed, and built him. He

was meant to be the next step in evolution, in technology, in creation, but went rogue. But no other

Kryptonian would believe me. Not even Zod... but he did. He is the reason Krypton was destroyed. He felt usinferior. Pathetic. He wishes to destroy us all. One day, my son, he will find you. I pray that you are ready."The hologram flickers, and turns off. Superman stares at the podium, and closes his eyes quickly, and

hardly. The thought of Krypton pains him. He turns around, and walks away.CUT TO:

RYKER'S ISLAND

A police van drives through the streets of Metropolis at night.

On a nearby rooftop, a metallic figure looks down on it. We see the van again. A blast of energy hits it,

toppling the van. The driver gets his seatbelt off, and bursts through the door opposite him. He climbs out

onto the street, and is met with two figures who resemble Metallo. One grabs the driver, crushing his neck.

The other moves to the back of the van, ri ing off the doors. It grabs the head of the original Metallo, and

the body. Brainiac walks up behind them.

The Next Day

CUT TO:

THE DAILY PLANET

Clark and Lois walk out of Perry's office.

Clark: "So, not only were two more... Metallos sighted, but they 'rescued' the first? With the help of Brainiac?

"

Lois: "Jeez Smallville, where were you yesterday?"

Clark: "Um... second home."

Lois: "You went to see your parents?"

Clark: "Yeah. Yeah, I did."

Lois: "Well, while you were missing out, Jimmy and I got some coverage for tonight's story."

Clark: "About Metallo?"

Lois: "About the Intergang."

Clark: "Lois, that was my story."

Lois: "You were seeing your parents. Worth it?"

Clark: "Honestly? I'm not sure."

Perry walks out of his office, looking angry.

Perry: "Lane, Kent, get down to the Industrial District! There are three of those robots tearing it up!"

Clark: "Got it."

He and Lois rush to the elevator.

CUT TO:

METROPOLIS

The three Metallos are destroying walls, fire hydrants, everything.

People run away as Clark and Lois run forwards.

Clark: "Lois, I think I see something in the alley."

Lois: "Well ignore it! We have to-"

But he was already gone.

Lois: "Crap."

She snapped a picture, and ducked into the same alley. But Clark was gone.

CUT TO:

Superman landed before the Metallos. He blasted one with heat vision, and ran forwards. He took a blow to

the jaw, and slammed his fist into Metallo 1.2's gut. He then picked him up, and slammed him into the

ground, bottom half disappearing beneath the concrete. Then he was hit with a blast of energy. Clark

rushed forwards, and knocked off the head of Metallo 1.1. Then, the original Metallo grabbed the back ofSuperman's neck, and threw him into a wall. Clark got up, and sent a beam of heat vision onto Metallo. He

walked forwards, keeping the beam steady, and Raised his leg, pushing it forwards. It collided with Metallo's

gut, and sent him flying back. Metallo dropped to the ground, slowly gettting up. Superman walked towards

him. Metallo grabbed his chest piece, and ripped it off, revealing a mess of wires and gears. But, in the dead

center, there was a piece of kryptonite. Superman dropped down, keeling. He clutched his head, feeling

horrible pain. Feeling weakness. Not being able to retaliate.

"That will be enough."

Brainiac walked towards Clark as Metallo put his chest plate back on. Brainiac grabbed the back of Clark's

neck, and held him up. He then threw the Man of Steel into a nearby telephone pole. He blacked out.

CUT TO:

Superman wakes up on a metal table, sweating. He hopped off, and walked towards a door. He opened it,

walked through, and fell. He landed in front of the Kent farm in Smallville. He went inside, and saw Jor-El

standing there, and a raven-haired woman that he had never seen before. They beckoned for him. he came

forwards, and was suddenly in a pod. It crashed through the window, flying upwards. Soon, the pod was in

space. Clark broke through it, and looked down on Earth. Its colors swirled, until it was green and white.

Then, it exploded in a blast of green light. Superman was knocked backwards, hurtling into space.

CUT TO:

METROPOLIS

Superman woke up, this time in reality. Brainiac was standing over him. Superman pushed himself off the

ground, kicking Brainiac. He was knocked back. Metallo jumped onto Supermans back. He fell to the

ground, and grabbed the sides of the robots neck. He flipped him over, and ripped off the head. Clark

unleashed a beam of heat vision at Brainiac, slicing off an arm. Brainiac rushed forwards, and backhanded

Supes. He flew into a streetlight, sparks coming out. Brainiac walked back towards the arm. Wires sprang

out, and reattached itself to the robot. Superman flew up into the air, and came crashing down. Concrete

flew everywhere. One slab hit Brainiac, then another, and another. He slammed against a wall. Superman

ran towards him, one arm covering his head. He ran into Brainiac, moving through the walls. They stopped

in a small alleyway, near a huge lake. Superman punched Brainiac, who was already damaged. He

stumbled back, and hit Clark in the stomach. He kicked him in the face, and Superman fell over. Brainiac

raised his foot, and brought it down on top of Superman. But, Clark grabbed the foot, keeping it just above

his chest. Superman pushed upwards, knocking off Brainiacs footing. Superman and the robot got up.

Superman landed a few blows to Brainiacs side, dodged an attack, and uppercutted the robot. Brainiac

punched Superman in the jaw, grabbed his neck, raised the Kryptonian off of the ground, and slammed him

into a wall.

Brainiac: I trust you know about me?

Superman, spitting out blood: Why? Why did you kill them?

brainiac: I did not kill them. I simply found a weakness and exploited it. Is it my fault they could not stop

their own demise?

superman: You set up the dominoes, and knocked them down. No matter how many you remove, otherswill fall.

Brainiac: That is the beauty of destruction. No matter how many survive, those that have can still be

destroyed.

Superman grabbed Brainiacs wrists, and crushed them. He let go of Clark, who slammed his fists into

Brainiacs side. He raised his leg, and kicked Brainiac. Clark rushed forwards, grabbing Brainiacs legs, and

throwing him into the air. Superman flew up, hit Brainiac with heat vision, and plummeted down. His arms

outstretched, Clark hit Brainiac, rocketing down. They crashed through a roof, landing in a steel mill.Brainiac got up before Clark, and kicked his side. Clark got up, and grabbed the robots arm. He ripped it off,

and threw it into a vat full of molten steel. It sunk to the bottom, and floated up, encased in the cooled metal.

Brainiac clenched his remaining fist, and punched Clark. Superman grabbed the hand, beginning to break a

sweat.

Brainiac: Begin automatic repairs on left arm.

Soon, green plates from Brainiacs chest retreated to his left shoulder. Wires sprung from the disembodied

area, and connected to others. The plates soon covered the wires, and Brainiac had a new arm.

CUT TO:

METROPOLIS

Lois is on her phone.

Lois: Jimmy, i need you over here. Clarks gone, think he ran from the robots. I need a camera.

CUT TO:

STEEL MILL

Superman ducks under a punch.

He retaliates with an uppercut, knocking Brainiac off his feet. Clark unleashes his heat vision, causing

Brainiacs light green plates to become a bright red.

Brainiac: That was a fatal mistake.

He grabs Clarks arm, burning it. He screams, ripping his arm away from the other, grabbing it. Superman

flies up to the ceiling, looking down on Brainiac. He flies to the tank of molten steel, and grabs it. He lifts it up

in the air, and drops it. The liquid pours across the room. Superman flies down, and punches Brainiac,

knocking him on his back. The molten liquid covers the robot, and starts to cool. Eventually, he is covered.

Superman lands, looking at the spot where Brainiac is buried. He reaches down, ripping off a chunk of steel,

and sees Brainiacs head. The lights in its eyes are off. Then, they start to flicker, soon keeping a steady

stream of light.

Brainiac: Brain Interactive System active.

He explodes from the casing, getting up. Superman clenches his fists. The robot backhands him, sending

him through a wall. Superman has his eyes closed, zooming towards the street. He collides with thepavement, small chunks of concrete moving through the air. He gets up, and flies. Clark sees Brainiac flying

upwards, away from the steel mill. He zooms towards the robot, arm outstretched. moving toward Brainiac.

Superman hits him, knocking the robot off his path. Brainiac is thrown off, into the sky, but regains control.

Clark flies towards him, and is hit in the jaw, rocketing back to the ground. Clark stops himself, and flies back

upwards, but Brainiac was already gone.

Superman: Crap.

CUT TO:


Brainiac walks through a dark room.

His arm reaches out to a light switch, and a bright light comes on. We see a large, green, spiky armor. It

resembles Brainiacs body, but is made of kryptonite. Brainiac takes out a USB cable, and puts it in the back

of his head, and the other end in the bodys. The robot then sits down at a computer.

CUT TO:

INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT

Lois and Jimmy are taking pictures, filming the area, and getting interviews.

Jimmy: "So, Lois... who were... uh... married to?"

Lois: "I'd rather not talk about it Jimmy."

Jimmy: "I was held back in kindergarden. Now you have to tell me your secret."

Lois: "No, Jimmy. Wait, how were you held back?"

Jimmy: "I was surprisingly violent and dumb at that age. Say, why were you so unhappy about having to go

see Lex Luthor?"

Lois: "Jimmy..."

Jimmy: "You were married to... to Lex, freaking, Luthor?"

Lois: "Jimmy, I said that I didn't want to talk about it. Besides, I fell for another guy."

Jimmy: "Who?"

Lois: "Look Jimmy, you aren't finding out."

Jimmy smiled, and floded his arms as Lois walked away

Jimmy, under his breath: "Of course I'm not."


Brainiac typed into the computer.

He started downloading a file, and the lights in his eyes flicked off. The downloaded completed, and the

eyes of the kryptonite robot came on, it's eyes a dark green.

CUT TO:

RYKER'S ISLANDMetallo's head and body are being carried on stretchers.

One stretcher enters Cell #234. The other is delivered to Cell #235. Guards shut the doors. The doctors

walk away, leaving the two guards to do their job.

Time Passes

The hallway is dark. The guards still stand there.

Guard 1: "Hey, what's that?"

A faint, green glow appears at the end of the hallway. The guard goes to check it out. A scream is heard.

Guard 2: "Jim? Jim?"

The guard walks down the hallway. We hear another scream, and Brainiac, in his new body, walks towards

the cells. He rips off the doors of cell #'s 234 and #235.

SMALLVILLE

Clark drives down a dirt road, to the Kent farm.

Dust settles as the Honda comes to a stop in front of the house. Clark gets out, and shuts the door. He

walks inside the house, where Jonathan is watching TV.

Jonathan: Oh, hey Clark. Didn't see you there. I was just watching the game. What is it?

Clark: I cant see my parents?

Jonathan, with a smile: Clark, youre an alien orphan who we discovered in the middle of nowhere, and was

never told what he really was until he was out of college. I think youre here for more than a simple hello.

Martha comes down from upstairs.

Martha: Clark? what are you doing here? its eight at night.

Clark: Look, Supermans been interfering with my personal life.

Jonathan looked at Martha. Martha looked at Clark. Clark looked at the ground.

Jonathan: I think you should talk with your mother.

CUT TO:

Martha headed back upstairs, and clark followed. they went into the main bedroom, and martha sat down.

Martha: First of all Clark, never refer to yourself as two different people.

Clark: You know, Im not sure who I really am. My real name is Kal-El, my name on Earth is Clark, but to

the world, I'm known as Superman. So who am I?

Martha: Clark, you know that I designed the suit, right?

Clark: Right.

Martha: Did i ever tell you what the S stood for?

Clark: No. Super?

Martha: No, Clark. youre my son. Thats who you have been, thats who you are, and thats who you will

be, from now, until the end of time. Thats what the S stands for Clark. Son.

Clark smiled, and hugged Martha.

Brainiac stands over the pieces, and walks away.

The Next Day

THE DAILY PLANET

Lois and Clark walk down a hallway.

Lois: "Look Smallville, all I'm saying is that you better not abandon me this time."

Clark: "When have I ever abandoned you?"

Lois: "Yesterday. The day before. Two weeks ago."

Clark: "Wait... do you hear that?"

Lois: "Hear what?"

Clark could hear screams coming from the streets below. He looked out of the wall with X-Ray vision.

Clark, under his breath: "Brainiac."

Lois: "What? Wait, Clark, where are you going? You better not leave! Dammit!"

Clark ran into an elevator, and went down.

Clark rips off his clothes in the elevator, revealing the Superman suit.

Superman blasts out of the elevator, flying. He stops on the street, where Brainiac holds a woman in his

hand. The robot drops her, and looks at Superman.

Brainiac: I knew that you would come. You care far too much about these pathetic, stupid beings.

Superman ran at him, and suddenly dropped to his knees. The kryptonite was draining his power. Clark

stumbled to his feet, clutching his stomach. He walks to Brainiac, pulls back one arm, and is backhanded.

Clark is sent hurtling upwards, crashing through the walls of the Daily Planet. He lands on a desk, causing a

computer , paperwork, a camera, and lamp to fall off. Brainiac crashes through the wall, and walks towards

Superman. Reporters run away from the office as the robot grabs Clarks neck. Superman looks at Brainiac,

and blacks out.

CUT TO:


Superman wakes up, and looks at his hands.

Hes within a dark room, similar to the one in his dream. Lights turn on, and Superman shields his eyes.

They get used to it, and he lowers the arm. Brainiac is standing in front of him, in his old body.

Brainiac: Much more mobile. I suppose youre wondering why you live, correct?

Superman: Of course not.

Brainiac: I detect sarcasm. I left you alive because you are the one thing I need. A specimen of Earth. Give

me all the information you know.

Superman: Why?

Brainiac: If you do not, I will destroy the human race using the nuclear missiles in this base. If you do, I will

give them as much time left as you take to explain this planet.

Superman: What? You want knowledge... and then you destroy the planet?

Brainiac: Knowledge is all the more precious when few know of it.

Superman: The planet was created in seven days, by an all-powerful being. Then, he created a man out of

thin air, and a woman from the mans ribs.

Brainiac: That is not logic. That is myth. Tell me the facts. The ones with evidence. With-

Superman flew up, and threw a right hook. Brainiac dropped to his knees, and backhanded Clark. He went

through the air, but stopped himself before hitting the wall. He flew towards Brainiac, uppercutting him,causing the robot to be knocked into the air. Superman slammed the body into the ground, and slammed

into it. Brainiac threw Clark off of him, and quickly got to his feet. Superman landed on the ground, and

dropped to the floor, avoiding a left hook. However, Brainiac kicked Superman in the jaw, causing hi to grab

it, revealing his arm, which Brainiac grabbed. He held Clark in front of him, and punched him, then again,

then again. He then threw Clark across the room. Brainiac ran. Superman gets up, and sees Metallo in the

doorway.

CUT TO:

Brainiac sits at a computer, with the kryptonite robot.

CUT TO:

Superman and Metallo have grappled each other.

Superman resists Metallos movement, and moves towards the floor. They wrestle, and Clark rips off an

arm, but not before he is kicked off of the robot.

CUT TO:

The download has just begun.

CUT TO:

Superman tosses Metallos arm to the side.

He sidesteps two attacks, and grabs Metallos hand mid-swing. Clark crushes the hand, and rips off the

entire arm, hitting Metallo with it. The robot screams, and charges at Superman.

CUT TO:

The download is 25% complete.

CUT TO:

Metallo head-buts Clark.

Metallo kicks the Man of Steel, and ducks under a right hook. Superman lands a blow to Metallos side, then

another. He grabs one of Metallos legs and body, and rips it off. Metallo falls to the ground, as Supermanwalks towards him.

CUT TO:

The download is 75% complete.

CUT TO:

Superman rips off Metallos last leg.

He walks towards the head, and rips it off. He keeps it with him, walking into the room housing Brainiac.

CUT TO:

Brainiac eyes Superman. The download is 90% complete.

Superman drops Metallos head, and runs to the kryptonite body. Clark begins to feel weak. He pushes on,

grabbing the body. He almost immediately feels immense pain. Screaming, Clark pushes himself, controlling

the body so that it falls on the computer. Brainiac gets off of the chair, looks down at Clark, still weak, and

back hands him. He picks Clark up, and throws him to the other side of the room. He runs at Clark, who was

getting up. Brainiac grabs the back of Clarks head, lifts him up, and slams him into the wall. Then again,

and throwing him. He lands near Metallos head. He reaches out for it. Brainiacs foot comes down hard on

Supermans wrist. Starting to crush it, Brainiac picks up Metallos head. Superman looks up, and blasts

Brainiacs eyes with heat vision. The glass bursts, but the red light stays on. They now give off an

intimidating buzz. Superman reaches out with his other hand, and grabs Brainiacs ankle, crushing it. The

robot falls, crippled. Plates and wires start rearranging, but not before Superman grabs Metallos head from

Brainiac. The ankle has been fully repaired. Brainiac gets up, and sees Metallos head hurtling towards him.

I crashed into Brainiacs chest, going straight through. Sparks flew out, as Superman breathed heavily.

Brainiac: Logic centers shut down. Movement systems shut down. Memory systems shut down. Brain

Interactive System shut down.

And with that, Brainiac crashed to the floor on his back. The lifeless shell didnt move. The red lights that

made up its eyes flickered, and turned off. Superman looked down at it, and walked away.

The Next Day

CUT TO:

THE DAILY PLANET

Jimmy Olsen sits at Clarks desk with him.

Jimmy: So get this: Lois was married to Lex Luthor.

Clark: I know.

Jimmy: What? But she doesnt like to talk about it!

Clark: She has to tell someone. Plus, Im her partner. Shed tell me anything.

Jimmy: Did she tell you that she left him because she fell for another man?

Clark: No... she didnt.

Jimmy: Looks like someones keeping secrets, huh?

Clark: Yeah Jimmy. Besides, I have some secrets of my own.

CUT TO:

METROPOLIS

Lois and Clark drive in a news van.

Clark: So you told Jimmy?

Lois: He was pressuring me. If I hadnt told him, I eventually wouldve.

Clark: I get it. And whats this about you falling for another man?

Lois: He told you about that, huh?

Clark: He did.

Lois: Well?

Clark: Um... what?

Clark: Lois, Im not Kat Dennings.

Lois: Alright. Maybe its better off you dont know.

Clark: Wait a minute. Is it some crazy industrialist?

Lois: Of course not. I learned not to see those guys after dating Lex.

LEXCORP

Lex Luthor stands in his office, looking down on the city.

A scrawny man walks in. Lex doesnt turn.

Lex: What do you want Tomphson?

Tomphson: Actually sir, they found the motherload.

Lex: Who? What?

Tomphson: Of the mineral.

Lexs eyes widen.

The Next Day

CUT TO:

METROPOLIS

We see Superman flying through the air.

He breaks the speed of sound, and moves into space. Clark looks down on the world, and smiles. He

focuses on Metropolis general location, and blasts down.

CUT TO:

WASHINGTON D.C

Amanda Waller walks out of Congress. A blond man joins her.

James Jessie.

James: Well?

Waller: They approved. We can now hunt down any metahuman we want. Its no longer under debate.

James: Should I start making plans of attack?

Waller: Inform each of the bases first. We should set up a new one in Metropolis.

James: Agreed.

Waller: Right now is more crucial than ever before. We can finally deal with these men. If we screw this up,

our permission is screwed. I want you to plan everything. I want you to step up training. I dont want any

repairs or unnecessary renovations done on any of the existing bases, especially the Atlantian one, and the

one in the Aegean Sea. Do you hear me?

James: Yes Maam. Ill make the arrangements.

Waller: Good.

James: Before I leave... what about Task Force X?

Waller: Well cross that bridge when we come to it.

Waller stayed on the steps as Jessie walked away.
