The institute has departmental societies/clubs which conduct & organize events and activities

Mechanism/ Norms and Procedure for democratic/ good Governance
KIOT is governed by the well-established policies of Gyan Ganga Educational Society. Under
this system, the Board of Governors establishes the policies. The BOG comprises of the
management representatives, academicians of repute in the concerned field, noted scholars
having institution building experience and finally the representatives of the industry. The
progress of the institute is reviewed regularly by convening the BOG meetings and directions
given to correct the course of action in case of any deviations and provide guidance to the
future plans. The institute has delegated the powers to HODs to manage the routine functions
of their departments independently.

Establishment of Online Grievance Redressal Mechanism
A Grievance Redressal Cell exists in the institution wherein designated faculty members are nominated as In-charge (senior faculty) and other five faculty members on rotation basis. The Director of the institution is the Chairman of the Committee. The Cell looks into grievances of faculty, staff and students. The meetings are convened by the in-charge GR Cell when someone reports a grievance through written or verbal complaint. A “Students‟ Grievance Cell” comprising of the following faculty members and students has been constituted for the redressal of any type of grievance(s) in this institute for Session (2018-19).

Establishment of Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)
The Institute has substantial number of female students as well as female faculty and staff. The Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee is renamed as Internal complained committee as per guide lines of UGC Regulation 2016. This committee consists of senior women faculty as in-charge with Director as the Chairperson. The committee has 4 female faculty members, 1 female staff and 4 students as members.
The committee maintains complete confidentiality and meets every semester with existing and new women faculty, staff and students to create awareness about its existence and the mechanism of approaching the committee members if anyone needs to report harassment. A suggestion box is placed outside the office of the in-charge, so that if someone wants to maintain secrecy and report some incidence, they could do so. 12. Criteria and Weightages for Admission
Describe each criterion with its respective weightages i.e. Admission Test, marks in
qualifying examination etc.
B. Tech.: A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized Board /
University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the
following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology /Technical Vocational Subject and
securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate
above three subjects.
MBA: A candidate must have passed Bachelor‟s degree course of three years minimum
duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U securing
minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

GAMES AND SPORTS FACILITIES In KIOT, students are being motivated to take part in various indoor and outdoor sports activities. Various competitions are being held at department and college level. Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Chess, Table tennis and Badminton are favorite games of our students. Our students represent KIOT on numerous platforms in various sports activities and win various positions.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
KIOT encourages its students to become actively involved in club activities. The involvement
of students in these activities can help them in gaining experience in technology, teamwork,
leadership, organization and so on. The clubs provide an opportunity to the students to
apply classroom teaching to the outside world. The clubs organize competitions, events,
activities and offer excellent networking opportunities with fellow students.

ARUNIMA - Continuing with the tradition of the institute, senior students and newcomers
mingle with each other at fresher function „WAVES‟. This is the platform where students can
showcase their talent of dance, singing, instruments, anchoring, acting and fashion.
INCEPTION - In order to groom personality of students, KIOT gives them enough room to
grow intellectually, technically & culturally. During this Fest, various competitions held like
moves & rythems, fashion walk, fine arts, Nukkad Natak, debate, Rj hunt etc. are organized.
Various technical competitions are held during Ignitia. Techexpo is the main attraction where students present their live projects. During the semester, each department also organizes different Technical events for the enhancement of technical skills students. Name of such events are; Robo Race, Multivictor, Protocol, CADD etc. Under the technical club (Embedded Systems, Robotics – Electronics Club), events organized are:
1. STC on Speech based robot 2. STC on MATLAB & Basics of Wireless Communication 3. STC on Digital VLSI System Design 4. STC on MATLAB & Image Processing 5. FDP on Microcontroller Based Embedded Systems (8051 & PIC)
For management students, numerous activities on development of entrepreneurial management skills i.e Business communication, Personal & Group Dynamics, Team building and problem solving etc. are organized
