Welcome to our Comic Book Superheroes Challenge! We have created this badge to help raise
money towards two events this year that our members are taking part in. We hope that with your support in taking part in our challenge that we will
be able to support them in the cost of their adventure. Any additional money raised will go into the Rangers funds that we can afford to help them
in other activities and trips in the future.

Rainbows can colour them in. Once they are cut out you stick magnets on them for them to take home and stick

The Powers
What would your super power be? You could
present your ideas to the unit as a group or
individually to your patrols – B G SS
Which superhero is the most powerful? –
Create an advertising poster showing all of
the superheroes’ skills – B G SS
Design some new superheroes gadgets – What do they do?
Which superhero are they for? – R B G SS
How did you get your superhero powers? –
Create a back story for your own superhero share your ideas with the rest of the
unit – once you have done this you could do the same for a supervillain – B G SS
What is a superheroes ‘kryptonite’? – Look at
different superheroes and find out their Achilles heel (weakness). You
could also decide what your superheroes Achilles heel would be. – R B G SS
Design new transport for a superhero – Whether it is your
superhero or a famous one design a
new form of transport for him/her and make
it out of recycled materials. – R B G SS
Making comic strips – Have a look at how comic strips are laid out and the different stories involving your favourite superhero.
Create your own comic strip – you can do
whatever you want. Have your superhero meet your favourite
superhero. Have two of your favourite meet up
and swap powers. Have your favourite
superhero meet your favourite supervillain. You could act it out as
a group instead of drawing it out – G SS
Rainbows can play a game of Pass the Kryptonite – just like
the game “hot potato” but you use something green to
pass around. Play some music as they pass around the
Kryptonite, whoever is left holding the Kryptonite when the music stop is out. The last person left in the circle is the
Superhero
Rainbows can make their own shield, using
paper plates turn upside down and colour in then add a bit of card out to make a handle when
they are finished
Rainbows can colour in the different
superhero cars in the resources, add new gadgets to it

The Costumes
Make your own superhero costume – Design and make your own superhero costume, it could be a costume for your superhero or it could be a new costume for your favourite superhero, once you
are all done you could hold a fashion show to show off your designs to the rest of your unit – B G SS
Design a superhero logo then make it out of
sweets – It could be for your superhero or a new logo for your favourite superhero – R B G SS
Design a costume for an animal sidekick – Pick an animal to be the new sidekick for
your superhero or your favourite superhero
then design it a costume for it. – R B G

How have superheroes costumes changed over time – Have a look at one superhero’s costume and
see how it has changed over time. You could play a game by
printing off the pictures and either guess the oldest costume to the newest or try and match
the years to the costumes – G SS
Where does your Superhero change into their costume? Is it
a phone box, a bin? – Design your superhero or your
favourite superhero a place to change into their costume and
kit it out with all the latest gadgets or make it just a changing room – B G SS
Every superhero has a secret identity, Captain America is Steve Rodgers, Hulk is Bruce Banner, Batman is Bruce Wayne – Create an alter ego for your superhero so they can lead a normal life as well, give them a cover story, a job and a house. Have a look at superhero stories to inspire your

Make a supervillain costume – Design and
make a supervillain a new costume, it can be your own supervillain or your
favourite supervillain, once you are all done you could hold a fashion show to show off your design to the rest of the unit – G SS

the resources to colour in and draw
on or design separately a costume for their new sidekick

An extra craft of the Rainbows – Make Superhero masks, using the different mask
shapes in the resources to create their own. You could

The Side-kicks
Create a new side-kick for a famous superhero
– Create an advert to show off their skills so that the superhero will

Design a cereal for your favourite side-kick, superhero or supervillain – Create a new cereal using the name of a
side-kick, superhero or supervillain. Design and make the box they will go in (example in resources – Pg20) – R B G

Every side-kick, superhero and supervillain has a creator – look into the creation of comics, when did they start,
who started them, who are the artist behind all of your favourite side-kicks, superheroes and supervillain, spend a
meeting discussing what you have found out about the world of comics –

Create Marshmallow sidekicks – Using cocktail sticks place two marshmallows

Using lolly sticks colour them in to look like you favourite side-kick, superhero or supervillain, for a more professional

For the superhero party
Dress up as a superhero, eat superhero themed food, drink
superhero themed drinks and play superhero themed games.
Save the people
Blow up a bunch of balloons & draw faces on them. Evil faces for villains and happy faces for
civilians. Split the girls up into groups each group having a base for the prison (for the villains) and a safe house (for the civilians). The aims of the game is to get the most of both the villains in prison and civilians in the safe house. You lose
points for popping any balloon.
Superhero Dash
Name each corner of the room after a superhero. Play some music the girls
dance in the middle when the music stops you shout out a superhero they all have to go to that corner the last one there is out, a variation is they chose a corner and you
pick one at random whoever is in the corner you pick is out
Pass the kryptonite Just like the game “hot potato” but you
