2.3. Transport Plan

The organization has an official EMACI2020 travel agency, which conveniently ensures the entire flight process to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (Oporto), transfer to the selected hotel and their stay. The booking address can be found on the official EMACI 2020 Braga website (www.emaci2020braga.com).

Oporto Airport will have a reception desk for all participants of EMACI 2020 Braga, which will provide all the information, thus providing an excellent welcome to participants who visit us. The reception desk will be available from March 14 to 21, from 9h00 to 20h00.

Porto Airport is around 30 minutes' drive from Braga by car / bus.

In the event that participants do not want the services of the official travel agency of EMACI 2020 Braga, the following alternatives are presented.

2.3.1. How to get to Braga via Porto Airport?

The Porto - Braga connection is also possible by public passenger transport, via connections between Porto Bus Station (Campo 24 Agosto) and Braga Bus Station.

If you choose to travel by light means of transport such as taxis, car rental, UBER service, among others, you can trigger them through contacts available at Oporto Airport.

2.3.2. How to get to Braga by other routes?

Thanks to its excellent geographical location, Braga is easily accessible by car, train, taxi or bus.

As mentioned in the previous point, Braga has train terminals (Braga Station) and public passenger transport (Braga Bus Station).

The city is also served by 5 freeways: North (A3), South (A3 and A1 of Lisbon), East (A11 and A7) and West (A28).

As a second option, Vigo Airport is around 100 km away, and there are bus trips connecting these two cities directly daily.

2.3.3. How to get around Braga?

The city of Braga is equipped with a public passenger transport service, through TUB - Transportes Urbanos de Braga, which allows travel throughout the municipality of Braga. You can consult all routes, timetables and prices at www.tub.pt. English version only available on the TUB App.

For all EMACI 2020 Braga participants (athletes, accompanying persons, team leaders, …), transportation on TUB buses will be completely free, provided they have an appropriate accreditation card.
