ARIZONA STATE TRAPSHOOTING ASSOCIATION LIFE MEMBERS CLASSIFICATION (continued)
If you wish to declare a Special Category, it must be made at the
time of classification/entry. Only one (1) Special Category may be
declared.
No contestant will be allowed to declare or change a special catego-
ry declaration after firing his/her first shot. The only exception to this
rule would be to correct an ATA classification error. After cashier-
ing, check your entry receipt to ensure you have been classified
correctly.
There will be no class advancements for this shoot, however, any
shooter’s score/class is subject to review. Any shooter earning yard-
age in any handicap event must report to Classification to have their
average card punched to the new yardage prior to shooting the next
handicap event. Any shooter whose class or yardage is changed for
any reason shall be considered to be notified when the new class or
yardage is posted on the bulletin board.
TROPHIES Arizona resident must have been a bona fide resident of the State of
Arizona for six (6) months prior to March 17, 2020 in order to com-
pete for resident ATA and ASTA trophies. Proof of residency may
be required. Trophies are awarded to Residents and Non Resi-
dents. A shooter may only win one (1) trophy per event.
SHOOT OFFS & TIES
All Singles, Doubles ties will carry over, by sub-event, to the next
like HOA event through the Championship events.
Note: Handicap ties will be shot off the same day of the event.
Shooters who do not respond to shoot-off announcements within 5
minutes of the final call will forfeit all rights.

SPECIAL CATEGORY SHOOTERS
TROPHY RULES
Any declared special category shooter who is tied for event Champi-
on may shoot-off/carry-over for the Championship trophy, however; if
the category shooter fails in the Championship trophy shoot-off/carry
-over the shooter will fall back to the declared special category.
Any declared special category shooter whose score qualifies for
ANY trophy in his/her declared category, will compete for the catego-
ry trophy and not for place, class or yardage group. If there is no
Event Champion Trophy, a declared category shooter will take the
category trophy and may not fall back to the Class Trophy.
Any special category shooter whose score does not qualify for a tro-
phy in his/her category, may compete for place, class or yardage
group trophies. Once any declarations have been made either by a
shooter or shoot management, the declaration is final and cannot be
changed. There shall be no exception to this rule.
Attention: Arizona Resident
Junior and Sub Junior Shooters!
To support Arizona youth shooting; the ASTA will pro-vide shells to Arizona resident Junior and Sub Junior shooters participating in the Championship Singles, Doubles and Handicap Events. (Shells can be picked up in the clubhouse after you have entered and cashiered for the above events. You will need to have your entry receipt available to receive your shells.)
Good Luck!

STATE TEAM & ROOKIE TARGET REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the State Teams and Rookie of the Year, shooters must have regis-
tered a minimum number of targets during the previous target year (September 1—
August 31) in each discipline as listed below. Shooters with the highest composite
averages (S/H/D averages divided by 3) are selected in each category. If an eligible
shooters’ category changes during the target year, the category in which the shooter
shot the longest period of time will determine the category for team placement.
The “Rookie of the Year” Award is open to shooters who have joined the ATA for the
first time during the target year (September 1—August 31) and who have registered
the required minimum number of targets. The Rookie with the highest composite
average for the target year receives the award. The ASTA will also donate an ASTA
Life Membership to the winner.

Life Membership to the winner.

ry trophy and not for place, class or yardage group. If there is no
Event Champion Trophy, a declared category shooter will take the
category trophy and may not fall back to the Class Trophy.
Any special category shooter whose score does not qualify for a tro-
phy in his/her category, may compete for place, class or yardage

shooter or shoot management, the declaration is final and cannot be
changed. There shall be no exception to this rule.

There will be no class advancements for this shoot, however, any
shooter’s score/class is subject to review. Any shooter earning yard-
age in any handicap event must report to Classification to have their
