MEMO FROM PETE PASCHALL Neptun has issued several new “Spider Navy” releases and you can see from the photos in this issue that they are the ultimate in miniature ship models. Obviously pricey but what additions to your collections they would make! Production on models in this series is limited as they are all hand made by the skilled craftsmen at Neptun and thus each take a lot of time to build. If you see a model in this series you want, by all means order it. It may take some time to get it to you but it will be arriving in your harbor eventually. As always, patience is the watchword in this hobby! This is also the case for Superior. With so many mod- els available, we just can’t produce all of them all the time. However, we will keep you informed as models are restocked (See current list in this issue but be informed that this is not a complete list of models in stock.). But do order the models you want and as stated above, we’ll get ‘em to you sooner or later. Oh and be sure to check out the new 1:1250 releases from Argos, Saratoga and Mountford in this issue. The star performer in this hobby continues to be GHQ and their fabulous 1:2400 ship models. We may be out of a model or two from time to time but usually we can give you a high percentage fill if not a compete fill of your order….and speaking of 1:2400 models, we just got a shipment inform SeaBattle. As you may be aware, they produce a lot of models that GHQ does not. Check the list on our website. Please join us on Facebook! There you will find the first word on what’s new, Facebook specials and opinion and discussion on naval history and model subjects. We invite you to comment there and also to share photos of your models. If you are on our Facebook page, you saw that wife Sue announced my birthday and age. Thanks a lot! (Oh, but think of the alternative!). But thanks also to all of you who sent in greetings. Even had a call from Rudi Kraus in Germany at Navis/Neptun. Seems he is a March Baby also so Happy Birthday to him and congratu- lations on 50 years of ship model building. Who says the Royal Navy doesn’t have a sense of humor? If you haven’t already, check out the Christmas video made by the Aviation Department on Amphibi- ous Assault Ship HMS OCEAN. Just Google “HMS OCEAN video” and start toe-tappin’! Just to remind you that this Report is posted on out website and there you can see the photos in color. Well, here we are in our 47th year. The same folks who filled your orders in 1965 are still filling them now. (Okay, so Pete Jr. was only five years old at the time but he did accompany Sue to the Post Office to mail orders so that should count!) And as always, we want you to know that we appreciate your orders to us! SUPERIOR 1:1200 The following ships have been upgraded (announced last issue) and are still in stock.
