RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE


KAPLAN MCLAUGLIN-DIAZ INTERIOR DESIGNER

• Research, draw, detail schematic design solutions for Kaiser Permanente’s Potrero Hill including space planning reconciliation and determining through put. Design interior concepts to comply with their Total Health Environment branding and to have a unique urban aesthetic.• Review budgets and evaluate furniture systems for new Zappos HQ in Las Vegas to fi t with their overall brand and meet our fi rm goals of green building materials and fi nishes. Work with vendors like Herman Miller to develop a beta site at Zappos for furniture systems. Develop strategic relationships with furniture dealerships to learn about their project offerings and initiate RFPs. • Create user matrix for conceptual layout design for Zappos HQ in Las Vegas to be used for carpet layout, branding and fi nish selection. • Responsible for creating furniture specs, managing fi nish schedule, liaise with vendors and dealers for a smooth construction administration process. • Design lighting fi xtures and work with vendors like 3Form to develop healthcare compliant fi xtures for Dallas Center for Blood Disorders and Children’s ICU. • Improve way fi nding with fl oor design and furniture layout for patient safety and hospital branding for Dallas Children’s Hospital.• Develop and responsible for designing color palettes for VA Palo Alto Tissue Lab.

UCSF MEDICAL CENTERJUNIOR DESIGNER

• Created layout studies to improve circulation for hospital facilities, nurse stations and medical practices• Worked on projects with a budget of $50,000 to up to $1M for medical offi ce building renovations, build out and working studies.• Reviewed contracts for purchasing, collaborated with capital planning, budgets and vendors to secure furniture, fi nishes and equipment. • Provided facilities clear input to dictate their costs, evaluate new contracts and to assist with tracking costs for project.

• Managed 30 West Elm store construction contracts, bid process, SKs, budgets, and change orders for architecture team, consultants, and Williams Sonoma Inc.
