On February 25 and 26, several members of our Association traveled to Nashville for “Day on the Hill”. I have partici-pated for the past several years, but was unable to join our members this year due to a business conflict. Doug Browne, Peggy Callahan, John Rucker, and Wayne Tabor joined the largest delegation ever to host our “Pancakes and Politics”. Many legislative staff members and lobbyists were shocked at the amount of people that attended to represent the

hospitality industry. Greg Adkins and the entire TnHTA staff worked diligently to make this event one for the record books. Their pineapple invitations, pancakes and politics and the reception were a hit with all of the legislators and attendees. Below is a summation of this great event. (Summa-tion complied and provided by Greg Adkins, President & CEO, Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association.) Again, thank you Greg and team for such a

fantastic “Day on the Hill”! DAY ON THE HILL SUMMATION1. Over 90 individual legislative meet-

ings conducted.2. Approximately 190 TnHTA members

attended Day on the Hill.

Pancakes & Politics Make for a Record-breaking Day on the Hill!

comparing this years’ facts to that one, I decided to run the FACTS again using 2012 data. I firmly believe that if you are in the hospitality industry, you should know what your industry contributes to the economy. Please take a few moments to read below and then SHARE with your staff. We should all be very proud to be a part of such a great industry!!! DID YOU KNOW?
