Set your clock one hour ahead on March 7th before you go to bed, so you will make it to Sunday School and
Worship on time on March 8th.
Thank you for the cards
and prayers for my
brother, Arthur DaSilva.
From
Harriet DaSilva
Caroline Gill is back at work and healing the way the doctors expect. We were overwhelmed by the love and support from the church. Words can’t express how much it meant to us and how comforting it was to know so many prayers were being said for Caroline. She is a very lucky young lady. It could have been so much worse.

Dear Westminster Church family, As I praise God for His goodness and love that I am now in remission from my cancer, I want to express my thanks again for your support and prayers. You have walked with me on my journey for the last six months - from where it began to the finish line. Along the way, you fed me, gave me rides when I was too weak to drive, sent me encouraging words, and lift-ed me with your love and I thank God for you.
With deepest gratitude and love, Meg Powell
To All Our Church Family and Friends,
Roy and I wish to say Thank You! The
cards, phone calls, trips to the hospital
and most of all the many prayers, are so
appreciated.
We love you all and we will be back
with you soon.

More and more these days, the answer to the question “How are you?” is quickly an-swered with one word: “Busy”. It seems that our lives have gone into hyper-speed as we push ourselves to the limit, making the most of the time that we’re awake. There’s nothing wrong with running full speed ahead, but even the fastest runners need rest. Addition-ally, when we’re running hard, we tend to miss things right around us. We fly past the
small details in life, and rarely take time to slow down and look. For our friends around the world who lack the basic necessities that we often take for granted, we’re asking you to partner with us as we slow down. On the morning of March 21st, 2015, we will stop running. In fact, that’s our only rule for the day: No Running! As we unlace our running shoes and slip into some-thing more suitable for walking, we’re going to focus our attention on the details - on people. These people have names. They have families. They have friends. They have dreams. Together, we will transform the lives of thousands of people around the world as we restore their health, their hope, and their future. And these “details” that we typically run right past will subsequently become our friends, and we will share in their joy when they will no longer have to walk for dirty and unsafe water. So what do you say? Will you join us? By walking with us, you’re linking arms with us as we move towards transformed communities and renewed opportunities at life. Your fundraising and support will show the world that you’re not going to run past their cry for help. Water Missions Interna-tional On Saturday, March 21 from 9:00 am-Noon Volunteers from Westminster Presby-terian Church will be participating in the fundraiser "Walk for Water" which raises funds for Water Missions International, a local firm that builds water purifiers for use in areas where good, clean water is not available. Details of the walk are post-ed on the “moveable walls” in Covenant Hall. Sarah Sams is organizing the walk for our Church and can be contacted at: [email protected]. The walk is for the full family if so desired. Small children in strollers, young children accompa-nied by adults, dogs on leashes, all are encouraged to take part at Brittlebank Park. Each family or volunteer will carry a bucket of five gallons of water for 1.5 miles. This is the distance many people have to travel to get clean water for their homes in many countries where clean water is lacking. Westminster is hoping to sponsor a team, a sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board in the breezeway outside of Covenant Hall. Interested participants can sign up online at watermissions.org. Here you can join our team, Westminster Walks for Water.
News from the Preschool
Spring must be coming in with a lion, so we will hope it goes out like a lamb. The children have been so disappointed that they have not been able to have outside recess due to the rain and/or cold. But not as disappointed as the teachers-it is not fun to keep children inside everyday all day. So we will pray for nice weather this month. Registration for the 2015-2016 school year is coming along nicely. Presently we only have spots available in our two and four year old programs. Also we are happy to announce that we will have a full class next year in our 5K class. If you know of anyone interested in our school, please have them contact the Preschool office. March is a very busy month for the Pre-school. We have a Fairy Tale party and a special breakfast for Dad planned this month. And at the end of the month we will have our Easter units that include the Easter Bunny and of course the Resur-rection of Jesus. It is a very busy month. We are planning our 50th celebration for the Preschool scheduled for April 19th. We are trying to compile photos for the past 50 years. Please send in copies of your pictures for us to scan, especially class pic-tures or of the children at special events with their teacher. We are really excited about this event. Please make plans to join us.
