Lewis was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served in many other capacities. His study of the bible and role in the church was the most important thing in his life outside of his family, who loved him very much.

Shortly after his retirement in 1980 from a 30-year distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force, Herb Kamm and his family returned to Texas, settling in Duncanville and becoming active in numerous community activities and organizations. Shortly after the Duncanville Rotary Club was formed, he was invited to join and he then enjoyed 27 years of participation in Rotary. serving in almost every club board position and several district-level positions, culminating with his serve as District Governor in 1997-1998. He, along with his wife Mary Fae, was a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation. He completed his Rotary membership and service as a member of the Cedar Hill Rotary Club.

In 1996, she was named Frisco Citizen of the Year by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce an honor that she shared with her husband, John, who had been named Frisco Citizen of the Year in 1991. She was recognized as a"Woman Who Makes a Difference," by Harte Hanks newspapers in 1996 and 1998. She was also anominee for the statewide Lone Star Achievement Award for a Lifetime of Volunteer Service.

Rick was a great Rotarian and instrumental in helping the club with it's many grant requests. He loved Rotary and its Camp RYLA program. He had a passion for giving students an opportunity that they might never have. In his quiet way, he lived the 4-way Test. He will be missed!

Immediate past president of Midlothian Rotary, he was also a past president of Midlothian Lions, active in Lions District activities and active in the American Legion Post in Midlothian. He’d also been a supporter and adult leader in the Boy Scout Troop in Midlothian. His career was as a Dallas Firefighter. He was the consummate volunteer here in Midlothian and is already sorely missed.

Jim was honored by our club as Rotarian of the Year for 2016-2017. Jim was a charter member of the Melissa Rotary Club and was instrumental in getting the very successful flag program going in Melissa. He was truly a consummate Rotarian, dedicated to service to others, following the 4-way test in all he did. Jim was a man of great character and integrity who was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a soft spoken man, who loved his kids and grandchildren and enjoyed our Rotary chili cook off with his wife.

Gene began his membership with Rotary in 1998. A banker, who even after he retired continued to financially support the philanthropic efforts of Plano Rotary. He and his wife of 52 years, died 13 days apart. Together they served on the Board of the American Cancer Society. Gene also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for HCA Medical Center of Plano and on the board of Plano Chamber of Commerce.

The heart of Rotary is Service Above Self and Herb Hoxie has fulfilled that role for over 53 years from September 1963 to March 2017. He has volunteered his time individually and through his clubs, fulfilling the 4-way test and helping make his communities and the world a better place to live. He was our District Governor for Rotary year 1996-97.We remember and appreciate our fellow Rotarian Herb for all he has accomplished, especially in his role as Rotarian.

Andy was an executive banker who worked in the paper industry for Sabin Robbins Paper Company in Georgia from 1992-2008. He returned to Texas working as an Investment Advisor for Investors Asset Management Company till late 2018.

Leslie was very active in Rotary until business responsibilities interfered with meetings. She still graced us with her presence at social events.Leslie made it her lifelong mission to give back to her community. She will be treasured for her sense of humor, outgoing personality and her desire to help others.

Stuart was an active Rotarian that supported all fund-raising events and always had a foursome in our golf tournament. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing and hunting whenever possible. His love for family was unwavering, and his service to the community impacted all who he touched.

Walt pass away at the age of 84 . He was Past President of the Rotary Club of Preston Center in 1997/1998 and was very active until his wife’s death and his physical decline. Walt will be remembered for his love of the Lord, kind heart, willingness to listen, personal sacrifice for family and friends, silly sense of humor which included his love of sharing a good joke that entailed back stories and details, his devotion to U.T. Football and his endless generosity.

Aaron was a proud Eagle Scout, past president of Athens Rotary Club, and President Elect of Prosper Rotary club -- Aaron Lemmon was a teacher and nurturer who knew how to have fun! He enjoyed every phase of life, whether camping, traveling, or sharing his faith and personal walk with Christ. He was a best friend to nearly everyone he met.

David was a very positive and loving person with a quick wit and sharp humor. He was always willing to help others and was generous with both his time and resources. David was an excellent friend and trusted mentor to many in the commercial finance industry, but his passion was helping men who have been incarcerated become productive citizens through the Prison Entrepreneurship Program.He also donated his time and resources to the Rockwall Rotary Club, the American Factoring Association, and his local church.

In 1988 Scott was chairman of the Rockwall Noon Rotary Board. In 1973 Scott was the winner of the Men’s North American Sailing Championship (Mallory Cup). In addition, Scott has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice in a 44-foot sailboat.He is a former Mayor of Rockwall, and a former Rockwall County Commissioner.

Tom Nuckols was a person of broad perspective and scope, the definition of an interdisciplinary thinker and educator. He loved engaging people in conversation, which could on occasion lead into a mini-lecture. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and as a Rotary Peace Fellow traveled to India, Viet Nam, and China to promote Rotary's efforts of building goodwill and better friendships. Tom's life exemplified Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self."

Charlie was a long-time member of the Sherman Rotary Club, serving as President and maintaining perfect attendance. He loved sailing, an avid bridge player and a member fo the Texoma Wine Society.Charlie loved his family and took great pride in securing the education of each grandchild and great-grandchild. Jim became a Rotarian on October 31, 2002. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and Graduated in Class 12 ofRILI. Jim was a huge supported of the Foundation, I think he was a PH +5 or so. He gave each of his sons a PH at our picnic one year. He worked the bike ride faithfully alongside of Dan Henry at the hardest rest stop we had.

Dave joined Rotary on November 1, 1972. He had perfect attendance for 44 years. Neverdid you do anything with Rotary that Dave was not there. He loved the socials and getting to know people.

Ralph joined Rotary Club of Waxahachie on July 1, 1995 and was active until 2015. He had perfectattendance for many of those earlier years. He LOVED working the bike ride and talking to the people, tellingthem all about Waxahachie. Ralph loved our socials as the enjoyed the fellowship so much! He and Marionwere always willing to work, host, be there, whatever you needed.

Walter Wicker joined Rotary Club of Waxahachie on March 3, 1973 sponsored by Jerry Chapman and MikeFenton. Walter loved to build wheelchair ramps and was a vital part of our wheelchair ramp team. Hecontributed and believed in the Rotary Foundation and was always willing to serve.

Warner was active in the community. He was a member of Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce, and a chaplain in the American Legion. Warner became a Roman Catholic Deacon and served in parishes in Stephenville, Wylie, Rockwall, and Plano.
