During this unprecedent-ed time as the world

battles COVID-19, many are finding it hard to keep their minds at

peace and hearts filled with hope.

But we must have

hope!

As Catholics in the midst of the Lenten season,

this trial offers us a unique opportunity to thrive as Christians

and truly live out our Lenten observance.

To recognize this first ever period of "self-

quarantine" in America as a special time to heal, to gather, to plant, to learn—a time to be with our

Lord without distraction.

This is a time of grace.

Use the gift of these days to go out into the deep with our Lord, to give witness that we are not simply casual

Christians.

Allow this time of testing to be an opportunity

to refresh your soul with prayer and reflection so that Easter may come

for you this year in unprecedented

triumph and victory.
