Recently nominated for the 2018 Minister’s Award for Women in Local Government, Kristin has a strong commitment to changing the narrative around public libraries by transforming the way library services and experiences are delivered. April 12 Adrian Podmore Gardening Expert You may know him from your ABC radio Saturday talk back program. His presentation will cover plants to grow in your area, hardy tolerant plants for heat, frost, drought conditions, ideas to make gardening easier, irrigation, mulches & planting trees and shrubs to provide shade, shelter and a cooling environment. Also bring your questions and problems with gardens and plants so he can help you out. May 10 Katie Cadogan Asthma Awareness Week Our Respiratory Care Coordinator from community health will be along to offer information and answer questions related to respiratory conditions. June 14 Trustee & Guardianship Planning Ahead. Get advice and support on writing wills, appointing a power of attorney and guardian and all the documents involved. July 12 NAIDOC Week Details to be confirmed. August 9 John Harper CSU Science Week Topic to be confirmed November 9 Huts Bus Trip Bus trip into the Kosciuszko National Park. with guided tours of some of the historic huts. Full day tour. Discounted bus trip for members. More details to come. December 13 Christmas Party Details to be confirmed September 13 Bill Tearle History Week: Dame Mary Gilmore A talk about the friendship of two quite extraordinary women: Dame Mary Gilmore, the great poet and Sheila Tearle, Bill’s mother. October 11 Mosaic Multicultural Group After a thoroughly enjoyable christmas party with the Mosaic ladies and their families, Mosaic will be back to share some more from their multicultural backgrounds.
