1° DAY_Osimo

The meeting point for all participants is Osimo, a small historical and archaeological town, a treasure discover. Welcome to the participants and presentation of the Tour programme. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel. 2° DAY_Gradara, Urbino Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Departure to Gradara, a medieval town which received the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club; guided tour to Castello, the place where, according to a legend, the passionate but tragic love story between Paolo and Francesca, took place. This story is immortalized in the inferno’s Canto V of Dante’s Divine Comedy. Lunch at leisure (not included). The tour goes on Urbino, one of local owns of italian’s Reinassance. Guided visit of this town. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 3° DAY_Loreto – Recanati – Macerata Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Departure to Loreto, one of the most important pilgrimage places in the Catholic world. This town has grown all around the sanctuary and its life and functions have been deeply influenced by it. Meeting with the guide and visit of this town in the whole morning. The tour goes on towards Recanati, where Giacomo Leopardi was born. A wonderful town immersed in nature, where even today you can experience the sublime atmospheres which inspired the famous poet. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Macerata, an historical town with one of the oldest universities in the world. Guided visit of this town. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 4° DAY_Shoes Tour – Fermo Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Start of the shoes tour in the main show rooms of the area, well-know for the production of the footwear designed by the most important local and international designers. Lunch at a local restaurant. The tour goes on towards Fermo, a town located in a picturesque position all round a steep hill. Guided visit of this town. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 5° DAY_Ascoli Piceno - Offida Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Departure to ascoli Piceno, a wonderful historical city, well-know all over the world for its square dedicated to its People. It is also famous for its “Hundred Towers”. Meeting with the guide and visito f this city. Lunch at a local restaurant where it is possible to enjoy the typical local food, the famous olive ascolane (“Ascoli olives”) and mixtures of fried fish. The tour goes on towards Offida, an attractive medieval village well-know for the DOC (Denomination of Origin Certified) wine production and for the manufacturing of old style bobbin lace. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 6° DAY_Acquaviva – Grottammare - Ripatransone

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Departure to Acquaviva Picena, overlooked by the impressive Fortress. Meeting with the guide and visit of this town in the whole morning. Transfer towards Grottammare, belonging to the club “Borghi più belli d’Italia” (Italia’s most beautiful towns), it is famous for its history, art, culture and traditions, and is an ideal tourism destination for exigent people. Lunch at leisure (not included). Afternoon dedicated to the visit of the small town Ripatransone, the so called “Piceno belvedere” due to its panoramic location. The Tour of Quiet

A suggestive tour in the places where time is marked by the bell sound and by the silence of meditation and prayer.

DAY 1 -Urbino Meeting point for all participants in Urbino. Welcome to the participants and presentation of the Tour programme. Lunch at a typical local restaurant. Afternoon visit to the old town with monuments and buildings of great historical and cultural value; For this reason Urbino has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The tour goes on with the visit to “Agostiniane di Santa Caterina” Monastery built in 1300. Dinner at a local restaurant to enjoy the delicacies of Marche region cooking. Back to the Hotel. DAY 2 - Urbino- Serra Sant’abbondio Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Departure towards the Monastery of Santa Croce Fonte Avellana in the town of Serra Sant’ Abbondio. This hermitage was built in 930 and is quoted in the Divine Comedy (Paradise, XXI canto) by Dante Alighieri, who, it is reported, visited and stayed in the monastery. Here, one of the most remarkable historical and architectonic elements is the inside botanical garden of rare beauty. It has been opened to the public since 2007, before this date it was an exclusive privilege of the monks. Lunch at a mountain chalet (the so called “baita”) near the monastery. In the early afternoon, is it to Cantiano, a medieval village with a remarkable cultural interest. Back to Urbino, dinner and overnight stay. DAY 3 - Mombaroccio-Pesaro Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant and check-out. Departure to Beato Santo sanctuary in Mombaroccio. Built by the monks of the Franciscan order in 1223, this sanctuary is of rare architectonic beauty, and contains an important picture gallery where it is possible to find a permanent contemporary sacred art exhibition. Lunch at a typical local restaurant and departure to Pesaro in the early afternoon. Guided visit of the city. End of the tour and of the service supply.

2° DAY _ Friday

Moresco – Montefiore dell’Aso – Offida – Grottammare

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Moresco, historical town that is still surrounded by ancient walls. This is the ideal destination those who love spending their holidays close to nature.

Town guided tour. After that we will visit Montefiore dell'Aso, medieval small town rich in art and typicalities. Lunch at a restaurant with a typical menu. Departure for Offida,

fascinating and ancient medieval village, known for producing famous DOC wines and making bobbin lace. Then the tour will take you to Grottammare, one of the most beautiful

villages in Italy, rich in history, art, culture and traditions;this is ideal destination for curious tourists. Dinner at a typical restaurant in Ascoli. Beck to the hotel for the overnight stay.

3° DAY _ Saturday

Cingoli – Treia – Montecassiano – Montelupone

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Cingoli, an ancient hill town in the Macerata‟s inland, of Roman origin. Solitary and silent, plunged into one of the most beautiful folk, rich and rare

Mediterranean landscape. Town guided tour and departure for the other city that we are going to visit: Treia, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy combining history, art, culture and

traditions. Lunch at a typical restaurant. In the afternoon departure for Montecassiano, charming small town with remarkable architectural treasures and beautiful landscape. It is rich in

ancient traditions making it one of the most enjoyable and welcoming villages in the Macerata county. The tour also includes a guided walk throught Montelupone, small hill town in the

Marche, it has best preserved the relics of its rich history, such us the castle walls, whose four gates were closed at sunset and reopened at dawn in the past; or the original stone paved

floor. At the end of the day we will come back to Ascoli Piceno for a typical dinner at a restaurant and for the overnight stay.

MARCHE,LAND OF

MAGIC

Marche region has been considered a reference point for magical and esoteric

practices since Middle Ages. Not only due to the presence of Sybil in the

Apennine mountains, where the cave her dwelling place, is located and has

been recognized an important pilgrimage destination by many famous people

in the course of history. But also due to the presence of many other

supernatural and fantastic beings that gave rise to myth and legends in the

whole land. We will accompany visitors throughout a very special tour, where

mystery and supernatural will be the real protagonists.

DAY 1 - Osimo

Meeting point for the participants of the tour in Osimo. Welcome to the visitors and presentation of the Tour programme. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 - Underground Osimo

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Guided visit to the underground paths in Osimo. This place, rich in old alchemical symbols whose birth reason and function are still

unknown, was an important destination and sometimes a dwelling place for Knights of Malta and Templar Knights. Here, they used to perform their initiation rites. Lunch

and guided visit to the historical centre of Osimo. Back to the Hotel for typical regional dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3 - Serra San Quirico-Genga-Ascoli Piceno Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Chek-out and departure to Serra San Quirico. Visit to Rotorscio Castle to discover the scenery where the legend of Pietro an Sara, the

symbol of the obstructed love took place (it is said that the ghosts of the lovers are still wandering in the ruins of the castle). Visit to the historical centre of Serra Quirico .

Lunch at leisure. In the early afternoon, departure to Genga to discover the infinite cave and San Vittore Abbey, a very suggestive place, where the sacred and the profane

meet. Back to Ascoli Piceno, hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4 - Colle San Marco

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Departure to Colle San Marco. The tour lead inside the surrounding clearing with a series of stops to have the possibility to se the ruins of

San Lorenzo monastery, Beato Corrado cave, San Marco hermitage and, finally, the wonderful cliffs of Ascoli coast, called “the finger of devil”. There place full of worrying charm, is right the location where legends and popular believes about fertility rites and witches‟ Sabbath performed under the “finger of evil” were born. Lunch at leisure.

Back to Ascoli and in the afternoon visit to Palazzo di Governo (Government Building), containing pictures representing Sybil of the Apennines, symbol of Marche magic.

Back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 - Sibillini Mountains – Sybil’s Cave

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Departure to Sibillini Mountains and visit to Apennine Sybil‟s Cave. According to the programme, the guided visit will include not only the

mere visit but also the reading of legends and stories which even today are rooted in the cultural tradition of these places immersed in the wild nature. Packed lunch and back

to the Hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner in a typical local restaurant and overnight stay.

DAY 6 - Monterubbiano

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Departure to Monterubbiano and visit of Sant‟Agostino church containing the magic picture (Sator) to which the popular tradition attributes

thaumaturgic powers and other kinds of magic influence. Visit to the historical centre of a remarkable beauty and lunch in a typical local restaurant where it is possible to

taste the famous “tagliatelle fritte” (fried pasta). In the early afternoon, back to Ascoli Piceno and visit of the historical centre. Dinner and overnight stay.

The enogastronomic tour of five aromatic herbs leads visitors to

discover five small villages of Marche region, where old

inhabitants preserve and pass on ancient and traditional recipes.

Lunch in a farmhouse of the town of San Pietrangeli Mount known as the “town of the towers”; In this farmhouse visitors can taste exclusively

natural local food. In the early afternoon, the tour goes on towards Francavilla D‟Ete village; Guided visit of this old village and dinner in a

typical local restaurant. Back to Fermo and overnight stay in the hotel.

DAY 2 - Montefiore dell’aso - Petritoli

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Departure to Montefiore Dell‟Aso, awarded with the title of one of Italy's most beautiful villages. Visit to the

old town and lunch in an inn famous for its refined dishes. The tour goes on towards Petritoli, another old village full of history and art. Dinner

based on the autochthonous meals and typical local ingredients, aromatic herbs, with the possibility to taste excellent regional wines. Back to

Fermo and overnight stay in the Hotel.

DAY 3 – Fermo- Smerillo

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant and check-out. Guided visit to the old town of Fermo. Then, departure to Smerillo, a village situated at 809

metres above sea level, with a very suggestive view. Here it is possible to eat the famous lamb “'d2coratella”'d3 (lamb‟s innards), a typical local

The tour of “Five Knots” (gastronomy, handicraft, art and nature

This is a tour characterized by five little wonders, rich in artistic expressions, and whose history is full of artists and poets. Wheat stems manufacturing is one of these folk art expressions, strictly combined to cooking tradition. A tour where local inhabitants are protagonists with their simplicity and wisdom and will

Meeting point for all participants in Fermo. This is a town rich in art and tradition. Welcome to the visitors and presentation of the tour programme. Departure to

Montappone, well-known all over the world for its hats manufacturing. Lunch at a local restaurant known for its „30s style menu based on the recipes of the famous chef Cesare Tirabasso. In the early afternoon, visit to the hat museum and then, departure towards Massa Fermana, another town with important hat

manufacturers. Visits to the old town and then, back to Fermo. Dinner at a typical local restaurant and then, overnight stay.

DAY 2 - Falerone- Montevidon Corrado- Servigliano

Breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. Departure towards Falarone, guided visit to the old roman theatre and to the old town, where it is possible to see Emiliani

building, now the seat of the municipal offices, and to San Fortunato church containing a picture by Crivelli. Lunch at a typical restaurant. In the early afternoon, departure to Montevidon Corrado and visit to Osvaldo Licini museum (a famous 1930‟s abstract art painter). Then, the tour goes on towards Servigliano.

DAY 3 - Fermo

In the evening, meeting point for all participants in Civitanova Marche, a nice sea town. Hotel accommodation and presentation of the tour programme. Sferisterio

Meeting place for tour participants in Castelfidardo. After the welcome cocktail and presentation of the tour programme we‟ll move to Macerata to watch the play Rigoletto in the

enchanting anphitheatre called Sferisterio. Dinner at leisure. We‟ll finally come back to our hotel to spend the night.

Day 2 Sunday, July 24th, 2011

Osimo

Breakfast at the hotel. We‟ll leave for Osimo for a guided tour of this lovely town lying in the centre of the Marche region. Osimo, of ancient and noble origins, extends over sunny hills

but also has a mysterious underground world, consisting of mazes running for over 9 kilometres, which are partly accessibile to visitors. The town has beautiful buildings, churches and a

breathtaking view over the Appennini mountains. Afternoon visit to the cellar called “Il Pollenza”, where participants can taste some of the great local wines. At the end of the day you‟ll

be driven back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Monday, July 25th, 2011

Gradara, Urbino

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Gradara, the medieval town which has been decorated with the TCI orange flag (an official mark of beauty). The tour provides a guided visit to the

castle which was mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the 5th Canto of the Inferno (the first book of the Divine Comedy) as a setting of the passionate and tragic romance between Paolo and

Francesca. After having lunch at a local restaurant we‟ll head off for Urbino for a guided tour of this renaissance town. We‟ll then go back to our hotel to have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4 Tuesday, July 26th, 2011

Macerata, Sferisterio

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel wel‟ll travel to Macerata, historical city and home to one of the oldest universities in Italy. Guided day tour of the city and lunch at a local

restaurant. We‟ll spend the evening at the Sferisterio anphitheatre where Un ballo in maschera (A masked ball) will be playing. Dinner at leisure and return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 Thursday, July 27th, 2011

Jesi, Corinaldo

Breakfast at the hotel. After that we‟ll set off on a guided morning tour of Jesi. The city boasts a long industrial tradition, which won it the appellation of “Little Milan”ever since the late

1800. Lunch at a restaurant. We‟ll then move to Corinaldo and spend the afternoon touring the village with an expert guide. Located on top af a hill, between the March of Ancona and

The State of Urbino, the village has a decidedly strategic position and its walls, dating back to the fifteenth century, have remained practically unimpaired, becoming the symbol of the

village. In the evening we‟ll get back to the hotel to enjoy a nice dinner and have a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 6 Saturday, July 28th, 2011

Loreto

Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning we‟ll leave for Loreto, one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in the catholic world. Situated on top of a hill, the Shrine generates an

urban centre, defining its characteristics and functions. Guided morning tour of the town and lunch at leisure. Late in the afternoon we‟ll get to Lauro Rossi Theatre in Macerata and enjoy

the play Così fan tutte. Dinner at leisure. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

SCHOOL TOURS

NATURE, ART AND HISTORY DURATION: 3 days – 2 nights

DAY 1: ASCOLI PICENO (tour guide in FD option) In the morning all participants will arrive in Ascoli Piceno, historic town known worldwide for its beautiful main square, which is dedicated to the People, and for

being called “the one hundred towers town”. In the past, different cultures –such as the Roman one and Longobard one- did overlap leaving traces in the numerous

narrow streets (called “ruette”) of the historic centre. There are also attractions of a decidedly medieval character, such as the churches of the romanesque and gothic eras. After having lunch at a local restaurant you‟ll complete your sightseeing tour of the town with an english speaking guide. At the end of the day you‟ll

enjoy a dinner based on typical local products (the famous “olive fritte” –green olives stuffed with meat and fried- and our traditional mixture of fried food) and

then go back to the hotel to spend the night.

DAY 2: SPINETOLI “OASI LA VALLE” – OFFIDA – CASTIGNANO (tour guide in HD option)

After a rich breakfast we all leave for Spinetoli‟s “Oasi La Valle” (natural oasis), Environmental Education Centre with an expert staff at your disposal. You are given the opportunity to choose from 3 walking tours: the “Rustic” one (a fascinating insight into rural atmosphere of times gone by), the “Nature” one (charming

and varied, appreciated for its diverse and wonderful fauna that you will walk between) and the “Cultural” one providing a trip into Spinetoli. You‟ll stop off for

lunch (packed lunch) before going on to Offida, enchanting and ancient village, famous for producing DOC wines (wines of guaranteed origin). Lace making is one of Offida‟s most common crafts. Guided visit of the small village. Later in the afternoon the tour will take you to Castignano. From the medieval San Pietro

square take in a view of the Appennini mountains, the sea and characteristic badlands. The small village is rich in history and traces of the past can be seen

everywhere, such as the stone bearing an ancient inscription and the romanesque Sts. Peter and Paul Church keeping inside the newly restored fresco of the Last Judgment, other Crivelli‟s School frescoes and the wooden statue of Grieved Virgin Mary. S. Maria del Borgo‟s Church preserves traces of the legendary Knights

DAY 3: SAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO – GROTTAMMARE – RIPATRANSONE (tour guide in FD option).

Breakfast in Hotel. During the first part of the morning you‟ll be visiting San Benedetto del Tronto, one of the most lively seaside towns in “the palm Riviera”.

The “Mastio della Rocca” -the tower the locals call “lu turriò”- is the town‟s most representative monument and lies on top of a hill, in the old part of town. In 1145 the Gualtieri family began to rebuild the Castle on the ruins of the ancient parish that had been destroyed either by Turkish pirates plundering the coasts or by

Barbarians. The reconstruction lasted about three centuries. In the late morning we‟ll head for Grottammare, one of the most enchanting villages in Italy; rich in

art, culture and traditions: this is for sure an ideal tourist destination. Lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we‟ll move to Ripatransone and spend the afternoon touring this small village called “Belvedere del Piceno” (because of the breathtaking view one can enjoy from there).

stalagmites, alabaster bolts and crystal-clear ponds. After having lunch at a local restaurant we‟ll move to Serra San Quirico. You‟ll spend the

afternoon walking along the town‟s picturesque covered roads called “le copertelle” and visiting the Map Museum (Cartoteca Storica Regionale)

as well as the baroque S. Lucia‟s Church. Didactic activity in the headquarters of the Natural Park of “Gola della Rossa and Frasassi”. At the end

of the day we‟ll go back to the hotel.
