• Through out Bourke-White's life, she fought against racism and poverty.

• She had a reputation for her great architectural photos.

• After the war she continued taking photos in India, South Africa, and Korea.

• Born on June 14, 1904 in Bronx, New York.

• Died on August 27, 1971 from a disease

• Bourke-White was married and divorced twice.

• She went to Columbia University, University of Michigan, and many more, but got her degree at Cornell University.

• First female to be hired into photojournalism.

• First photographer in "Fortune" magazine in 1929.

• First female to be on the battle field.
