Or, it could be a baby bird’s beak. Open and close it and say, “Feed me!” Or, it could be a fish head. Close and open the fish’s mouth by sliding the two points back together and then sliding them apart again. It’s a cowboy hat. Slide apart farther. Here we have a stegosaurus. Slide the peaks apart even more. Valley-fold the model in half. Rotate the model 45° counterclockwise. Reverse fold the left corner, i.e., push it in. Round off the other three corners by mountain-folding them inside the card. Repeat the mountain folds behind. The Butterfly Heart Card has emerged, ready to spread joy wherever it goes. To reveal the butterfly, hold the bottom corner firmly with one hand and open the card with the other hand. Or, it could be the ears of a cat. 45º To make the butterfly flap, push down repeatedly as shown. Or four mountains on a half moon! Or a sunrise! Here we have a sunset. Now flatten the model.
