Chosen audience and Market research

My chosen audience for this particular animation varies from the ages 9-13.

I have done some research trying to understand what the kids in this generation have a lot interest in and how they would like to learn their facts and information.I started off with searching about books that appeal to Kids and how the information is presented. However, it didnt really give me an answer to how the Kids like to be entertained especially my target audience.So I began researching on educational websites and looked at the BBC bite size website. The information is very simple and teach a simple method and each to learn. There was a games section and it was so animated that it makes it entertaining and fun to learn. I also did a light research going on the cbbc website. I am trying to create an animation looking at it from an educational prospect and try to make it entertaining.

While researching I found an interesting article Animation Gives You a Glimpse of What Life Was Like for Teenagers in Ancient Rome. It is surprisingly interesting to see how the education system is moving a little away from the reading of the book and memorizing too watching the whole story visually. I also wanted to know if children enjoy school and the basic teaching at School.
