Scotts knack for quickly understanding a clients brand, products, markets, audiences and business models, enables him to drive strategic development and campaign results.

Scott’s primary role at Marketing Arts is brand strategy

development and account supervision. Scott works

closely with upper level business and marketing

executives to clarify objectives and develop strategies

for achieving business goals. Scott oversee’s the

strategic development and account activities to ensure

all marketing efforts are on-strategy and in-line with

achieving the overall marketing objectives. Scott

brings over thirty years of experience in results-driven

application of both traditional and new media strategies.

Caroline has over 20 years experience in the advertising

WENDY VEST | ACCOUNTANT

Wendy brings law and order to the group. Don’t step out of line or you’ll pay the price

Wendy has been with Marketing Arts since 2005 and in

the accounting trade for 15 years. Wendy handles all the

important financial aspects of both client and agency

accounting. She prepares client retainer reports,

manages payables and receivables plus prepares

company financial statements. She’s an Excel master

and helps the Marketing Arts staff in preparing ad hoc

reports. She completed her BS in accounting in 2009.

Gino brings over 20 years of creative talents and skills to the

Marketing Arts Team. He has a very diverse background,

working in both the agency and corporate environments,

which gives him the creative edge and insight needed

to develop campaigns for any client. Gino’s a hands on

creative leader, who not only shines in producing highly

strategic creative, but also has amazing design skills in

print and digital. His passion for delivering outstanding

marketing solutions for the client is evident in his drive to

stay on top of emerging trends and marketing channels.

MIKE SCHROEDER | ART DIRECTOR

“ My ultimate goal is to create designs that catch the consumer’s eye. So much so that my beer purchases are usually based on the design and packaging.”

Mike has been an Art Director at Marketing Arts for

almost ten years. He has fifteen years experience in

art direction with outstanding talents and skills across

all marketing channels of print and digital creative

design. Mike has many roles at Marketing Arts, including

directing photo shoots, concepting, design and web

design. He is very intuitive in understanding how the

client wants to present itself and finding the appropriate

design solution.

What started as a duck-taped coffee can, turned into a

full line of Handy Paint branded products sold throughout

the hardware and DIY industry. The inventor selected

Marketing Arts to help launch the new product and to

build the brand with both consumers and the retail

hardware channel. From initial package mockups, to

complete web design, print advertising and POP displays,

Marketing Arts continues to help the company roll out

new products. The bold, clean design approach helped

Handy Paint Pail win the coveted Product of the Year

Award by the paint and hardware industry.

WORKS OF ART SDEA | BROCHURE

Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association turns to Marketing

Arts annually to create and inspire a passion within

supporters of their ministries. The most recent concept

centered around words using the preposition “RE”,

such as Reach, Reveal, Renew and Release. These

words described what effect supporter donations make

throughout the year in each ministry area. The results can

be seen in the growth of SDEA and in the long standing

relationship between SDEA and its supporters.

Marketing Arts was the natural choice for building the

Natural Organic Warehouse brand. NOW was looking

to stand out as a quality resource, for the increasing

demand, of natural and organic products in the market

place. The new logo and website design captured a

fresh, clean and organic feeling that was characteristic

of both the company and its audience. The result was

increased site traffic, more interaction with customers

and increased sales and revenues for our client.

WORKS OF ART GSABC | BRAND DEVELOPMENT

GSABC looked to Marketing Arts when it came time

to create a marketing campaign that focused on

leveraging the power of its members working together.

Utilizing a competitive rowing metaphor, the images

and message highlight how pulling together leverages

their collective strengths, which helps them pull ahead

in the marketplace. The creative solution integrated into

a print ad, website and marketing campaign that was

considered a “stroke” of genius.

WORKS OF ART ST FRANCIS | INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN

Everybody’s ready for the weekend, with all its fun and

recreational activities. However, Mondays are when we

usually pay for it with aches, pains, strains and injuries.

Marketing Arts played off that reality when designing an

integrated campaign targeting these Weekend Warriors.

The radio spots ran during Minnesota Vikings games,

along with in-stadium elements shown throughout the

games. There was also highly visible print ads and direct

mail utilized throughout the season. The response was

so great that the client chose to run the campaign again

the following season.

WORKS OF ART WIRELESS RONIN | INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN

All signs point to the power of pixels when it comes to

digital signage and its impact on consumers. Wireless

Ronin asked Marketing Arts to build a new brand for

its RoninCast digital signage solution, to compete with

traditional static signage. The integrated campaign

included everything from a new identity design to print

and digital advertising materials, which captured what

makes this brand so powerful. We caught the attention

of retailers with a powerful headline of “Pixels Beat

Paper”. Wireless Ronin grew rapidly to eventually launch

a successful IPO on Wallstreet.

stats with other brands. Each POP display had a

personality all its own, to grab the attention of the brand’s

target market. Designs attracted attention, sold units

and helped build the Polaris brand at the point of sale.

St. Francis Women’s Health was looking to draw

more parents and parents-to-be to its annual baby

fair. Knowing that this demographic receives an

abundance of direct mail, Marketing Arts knew it had to

deliver creative that would stand out and touch parents

emotionally. The creative result was a concept that

uncovered all that the event had to offer in a unique way

that received lots of oohs and aahs. It was so successful

that the event exceeded the client’s attendence

expectations and has created a huge annual following.

The Family Birth Place at St. Francis respects the

choices and traditions of expecting mothers. They

are passionate about creating an environment that

can meet all the care needs of both mother and baby.

Marketing Arts created a brochure solution that not

only captured the warmth of The Family Birth Place

visually, but also encapsulated the feel by using a soft-

touch coating that gave the message a true sense of

something special. The overall design and feel of the

piece delivered at every level.

WORKS OF ART PATHFINDER BOATS | PRINT ADS

Pathfinder boats are well known down south as a top

performing bay boat. The boat’s design is also ideal

for the dedicated musky fisherman, so Pathfinder

was looking to reel-in these new consumers from the

Midwest. As dedicated musky fisherman themselves,

the creative team at Marketing Arts was chosen to

develop a new ad campaign that highlighted the boats

unique features, leveraging legendary Musky Hunter

Larry Dahlberg as spokesperson. The result; let’s just

say the boat has caught on well in the new market.

These guys know what they want, and Pathfinder delivers. Any serious musky angler will appreciate 360 degree unobstructed fishability, rod storage to ten feet, optional 58 or 65 inch revive/release well, musky-sized ready box in the console, huge fore and aft casting decks and gunnel rod holders for trolling. The business world is always looking for new ways to

be more productive. Smead’s new line-up of innovative

organizing solutions, designed to fit a persons unique

style of organizing, are a perfect fit, but they needed to

be introduced to the market in a creative and engaging

way. That’s why Smead relied on Marketing Arts to

unfold their story on how these new products fit your

unique style of organizing. We accomplished the goal

with creative that captured the unique benefits of how

the products solved specific user needs. The fresh

contemporary design really sold each product.

WORKS OF ART EMPATHIC CLINICAL SOFTWARE | WEBSITE

Empathic clinical software was designed by a therapist

to help relieve the administrative burdens in small to

medium sized therapy practices. Research showed that

the software eliminated up to 87% of the administrative

burden of running a practice. By re-positioning the

software as a way for therapists to “Get back to Therapy”,

we were able to engage with the target audience on

spending less time being an administrator and more

time being a therapist. The new campaign included

brand positioning strategy, new web design and email

marketing campaigns.

The challenge; organize over 2000 products into an

easy to navigate catalog, in a way that would live up to

the standards of the leader in personal and business

organization. Smead relied on Marketing Arts to not

only design a bold, contemporary catalog, but also to

streamline the production process, saving both time

and cost. The end result, a cost-effective print and digital

catalog using color to help find the right products, with

important how-to information at the beginning of each

section. Using fresh consumer photography also made

the new catalog warmer and more consumer

friendly to use.

After over 100 years of keeping people organized, Smead

had developed a wealth of knowledge on unique solutions

to help people get and stay organized. Smead asked

Marketing Arts to develop a strategy to bring this wealth of

knowledge to consumers, in a way that fit each persons

unique makeup. The result was Smead Organomics,

an in-depth, easy to navigate internet configurator that

recommended solutions based on unique user input. An

integrated strategy supported the launch of the website,

including a consumer print and digital ad campaign,

reseller campaign,consumer sales promotion and an

ongoing content development program.

Smead was looking for a fresh, contemporary design

idea that would move products off retail shelves using a

good/better/best positioning strategy. The bold neutral

colored bars combined with Smead’s highly recognized

brand pattern created a striking contrast to competitive

brands in the store. Plus, subtle product callouts brought

attention to important buying information, which

helps buyers see the difference in features without

overpowering the product images. The design brought

a fresh contemporary look to an everyday office product.

Image and style is everything with the teen culture.

Marketing Arts knew this when it developed a line of

back-to-school folders for Smead that catered both to

the functional needs of students, as well as their need

to express their personalities. We designed a series of

pocket folders that were on-trend and set the tone for

what attracts the attention of this unique consumer

group. By having us create a series of designs that

catered to specific student tastes, we were able to

give Smead pocket folders a style all their own.

Genpak is best known for its products and containers

in the foodservice industry. But kept under wraps was

their outstanding capabilities in recycled packaging.

Marketing Arts created a line of packaging that

highlighted their ecological printing and packaging

solutions. We took their 100% recyclable packaging

feature and integrated it with creative designs that

highlighted the color quality and printing abilities of the

clients manufacturing process. Results: Lets just say

the client could hardly contain themselves.

leveraging the highly recognizable Rubix Cube as an

analogy on how US Acomm could solve complex

telecomm puzzles. The campaign included a new

company website, sales brochure and drip marketing

campaign using lenticular print techniques and 3D
