WORLD MISSION SUNDAY At the initiative of Pope Pius XI in 1926, the second last Sunday during October became known as World Mission Sunday. Catholics are invited to pray for and give to the missions. Funds collected support some 1,250 mission dioceses around the world. A portion of the Canadian contribution will be used until 2020 to assist six dioceses in Northern Canada. Thank you for your support.
DEACON AT WESBURN Our Deacon, Milan Popik, is adopting Wesburn Manor as his special ministry of service. Monsignor Zimmer will continue to celebrate Mass on the First and Third Fridays and Deacon Milan will hold a Communion Service on the Second and Fourth Fridays. He will also visit residents unable to come downstairs for Mass.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL BUNDLE WEEKEND The St. Vincent de Paul white truck is waiting in the parking lot this weekend to receive your donations of good, clean, used clothing. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to clean out your closets. Volunteers are available to assist with heavy parcels. Please note: we cannot accept donations after the truck has left the parking lot. OCTOBER 14, 2018 COUNTING HEADS Once again this year the Archdiocese of Toronto has set aside two weekends for an official head count of all those attending Mass. Volunteers will count all those who enter the church for Mass this weekend and next. These figures assist with planning for the future and show us any change in demographics.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS MEMBERSHIP DRIVE Next weekend, October 20th & 21st, the Kingsway Council of the Knights of Columbus will be conducting a membership drive. They are a Catholic fraternal order of men dedicated to supporting the mission of the Church and to serving the poor. Visit them in the front
vestibule and learn more about their exciting work. Better yet, join them!
OCTOBER SCHOOL MASS On Monday October 15th at 9:30 a.m., students from St. Clement Catholic School will come to the church to celebrate their October Mass. Parents and parishioners are most welcome to join them.

HUMANITARIAN RELIEF Areas of the Philippines were devastated by Typhoon Mangkhut, and days later an earthquake off the coast of Indonesia caused a destructive tsunami. Survivors are struggling in both areas. Make cheques payable to St. Clement Parish Disaster Relief. Thank you.

AN EXQUISITE GIFT For years we have stored the hymn board numbers in a plastic container from the Dollar Store. Last week Peter Zingone presented the parish with a customized storage box. It's a jewel of the cabinet maker's art. We thank Peter for his gift and thank both Peter and Paul Zingone for the thousand little things they do for us each and every day. What a pair!
