Wreaths Across AmericaDec. 10th, Winchester National Cemetery

I'd like to take this oppor-tunity to express my appre-

ciation to those squadronmembers who braved the

cold & breezy conditions toparticipate in the Wreaths

Across America Event to-day, in Winches-

    ter.Representing the Mar-

    tinsburg Squadron were

Cadets: Ben Baker, KendallBarrett, Zach Bowman, Ken-neth May, Toni May, Frank-lin Michael, Duncan Smith

and Angel Webb. SeniorMembers who participatedwere: Russ Voelker, DennisBarron, Jeannine Korte,

    Gary May and DennisWebb.

The event was a very im-pressive ceremony honoring

the deceased veterans. De-spite the cold conditions and

    some disorganization atthebeginning, the ceremo-

nycame off like acharm. Our cadets helped to

escort the VIP's around thecemetery, laid wreathes on

thegraves, andeven helpedwith parking. I was very

proud to lead the WV con-tingent to the ceremony in

Winchester. I heard a greatmany outstanding remarksabout our cadets, even at therestaurant after the ceremo-

    ny.

My thanks to everyone thatparticipated today. You not

only honored the veteranswho made the ultimate sacri-fice for our country, youalso honored the Civil Air

Patrol with your outstandingconduct and demeanor.
