ST. ANN’S FOOD PANTRY With your help, we were able to provide food baskets to feed 95 adults and 251 children.
Families were provided with bags of groceries and a gift certificate to Price Chopper for the meat of their choice.
Thank you so much for sharing with our neighbors in need. Merry Christmas!
Annual World Marriage Day will be celebrated on February 12, 2017 at
2:30pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Syracuse. The
Most Reverend Robert J. Cunningham will celebrate Mass and witness a
Renewal of Commitment to Holy Marriage by all couples in attendance.
He will specially honor those couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, and
those celebrating an anniversary beyond their 50th year.
Please contact the parish office to register.
Respect Life
To the people, oppressed and suffering, who walked in darkness,
there appeared “a great Light”. A truly “great” light indeed, be-
cause the light which radiates from the humility of the crib is light
of the new creation. If the first creation began with light (cf Gen
1:3) how much more splendid and “great” is the light which inaugu-
rates the new creation: it is God himself made man!
(Pope John Paul II)

Rehearsal for the Christmas Eve Children’s Liturgy
On Saturday evening, December 17th, our YIM carolers gathered after the 4:00 Mass to bring the gift of song to very special people. The group, with sleigh bells and candles, visited the Catholic Charities Night Shelter, Francis House and Brookdale at Bellevue Manor. It was the first time that any group had caroled for the men at the shelter. We were greeted warmly and sang all sorts of requests for the men. Many of the shelter residents sang along and even danced along to the Christmas tunes. Our next visit was to Francis House – we quietly sang door to door to the families and residents of the beautiful, grace filled home for the dying. We prayed through our songs as we filled the home with our “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night”. We left quietly and prayerfully and felt humbled and grateful to have had this opportuni-ty. Our last stop was Bellevue Manor and the residents were just so happy and glad to see us. We had a great time singing with them and visiting! Thanks to one of our parishioners, Diane Knowlton, who made crocheted prayer shawls. We delivered them to all the residents of
Francis House and those at Bellevue. They loved the shawls! What a gift of love!
It was late in the evening when we finished and all of us were very hungry. We ordered pizza from Wegman’s and when we picked it up, the employee had written “Merry Christmas” in pepperoni on the pizza! It was a perfect delicious finish to a beautiful evening. A huge thanks to Michelle Cook and Keith Condon for driving our group around the town
and thanks to our young teens – our very own angel’s choir!
