Mastery Connect/Case 21 Login, Class Student Tracker and Assessment Creation
* Mastery Connect is an online test building program that has partnered with TE21/Case 21. The Case 21 test item bank will now be accessed through Mastery Connect instead of the TE21 Build My Test program.

1. Go to the website and login to your account. You can skip the interactive tour.
** You can log in with your username/email address and password or just sign in with your school Google account.
2. The homepage will display any assessments that you have created. Just click the MC
icon anytime you need to return to the homepage. Select the apps icon to locate the help videos library. The library is called Mindful.
Adding/Creating Classes 3. Classes are referred to as Trackers, so you will add a tracker for each of your classes.
4. Help videos can be found on most pages.
5. Complete the following information: Details included in separate screenshots below.
Subject: Math or Language Arts
Core: CCSS Traditional for Math
Core: Common CCSS Language Arts
Class: Grade level
Description: Last Name – Course name – Core/Block #
Can choose a color for the Tracker folder, if you would like to use for identifying classes.
Add students: Import from SIS
Select appropriate course number and section
Select Create Tracker to add the class
Completed Tracker with student list and curriculum area standards.
Adding/Creating Assessments
Assessments – All assessments are displayed on the homepage (personal & shared).
There is a separate set of instructions for accessing and cloning shared assessments.
Add an Assessment
Assessments can also be added from the Tracker page.
6. Complete the following information: Details included in separate screenshots below.
Subject: Math or Language Arts
Core: CCSS Traditional for Math
Core: Common CCSS Language Arts
Class: Grade level
Standard: Single or Multi-Standard can be selected. NOTE: If using Case21 Test Item Bank: select Multi-Standard” and view the standards in the question category. This will allow you to view the number of questions available per standard, but you will have to include more than one standard in the assessment.
Title the Assessment
Upload a file for an assessment created from another source.
Select SCORE21 Formative Assessment Builder to select questions from the CASE21 test item bank.
Single standard item quantities are displayed here
If selected the multi-standard setting, click the drop down arrow and view a list of the standards along with the quantity of available test items.
Test items can be added by clicking the plus sign.
Click the Item # to view the actual test item.
Test Items can be added while viewing the assessment item, also.
Added Test Items will show in the right hand column.
Enter a specific number of test items and Mastery Connect will pull that number of random test items from the chosen standard.
Items can also be filtered by DOK level.
Points will need to be entered for what justifies Mastery and Near Mastery for each standard.
Create the Assessment
7. Add an Assessment to a Tracker
Go to the list of your Assessments
You can view under Created or Select the Community Tab and search for yourself.
Select Add To Tracker for the chosen Assessment
Select Assess to retrieve a test code for students.
Give students the Code for the Test ID
Student Completing Assessments
8. Students enter the URL address: https://app.masteryconnect.com/bubblesheet/
Students enter the Code for the Test ID
Students enter their PowerSchool number for the password.
NOTE: At this time students should only SUBMIT their assessment when it is complete. An assessment can only be re-opened by a company representative from Mastery Connect.
