GOD’S LOVE IS LIKE A
RAGING FIRE!
In today’s Gospel, Jesus outlines many of the ways in which His coming into the world will cause division and not peace. He comes to set the earth on fire — not to destroy it, but to em-blaze it with the fullness of God’s love for us. The divisiveness arises not from Jesus Himself, but from people’s response to Him: choosing either to build up that fire or to tamp it down. Let us be those who feed the fire of the King-dom, not extinguish it.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Mondays is discontinued during the summer. The Monday evening Rosary at 6:30 PM in the
Lower Chapel continues as usual.
When you leave on vacation, don’t leave
Jesus behind. Visit: Masstimes.org.

COMMEMORATIVE HISTORY BOOK
150 Years in the Making
An Anniversary Book is being prepared for publica-tion. It will contain the story of our Parish: how it began and grew, and the community and people who made the Parish what it is today. Pictures will tell our story and you can be part of it.
Become Part of Our History Letters have been mailed out to Parishioners invit-ing everyone to include your name and those of loved ones in this book. If you have not received this mailing and would like to participate, please contact the Rectory Office during Office Hours. Proceeds from this Patron Program will be directed towards producing the book and helping with An-niversary activities. All participants will receive a copy of this one-time only special edition Com-memorative History Book.
If you have pictures or stories to help tell our his-tory, please drop them off to the Rectory. Identify any pictures and put your name and address clearly on them to be returned. Or E-mail pictures and in-formation to [email protected].

NEW RCIA CLASS IS FORMING! The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) begins Thursday, October 3. Classes are held every Thursday at 7 PM in the Convent. If you or a friend is in-terested in receiving the Sacraments of
Initiation or want to learn more about the Catholic Faith, call Sr. Mary Beth Geraghty, 215-673-4010, Deacon Lindsay, 267-266-2201, or Fr. Joseph, 215-673-8127.
Aid For Friends (AFF) If you would like to help prepare meals for AFF but are unable to transport them to our freezer, Tom Vitale would be happy to pick them up. For more details, call Tom at 215-919-1284.
150th Anniversary
Rosaries
Awaiting Re-Order! The Liturgy Committee for the 150th Anniversary Celebration commissioned Ghirelli Rosaries to design and produce a special rosary to commemo-rate our anniversary. These original Italian hand-made rosaries feature beautiful cobalt blue glass beads for the Hail Mary beads and white glass beads for the Our Father beads. The connecting medal shows the façade of the Old Church on one side and an engraved portrait of St. Katharine Drexel on the reverse. The crucifix is a replica of the one that hangs above our Upper Church Main Altar. The reverse of the crucifix is engraved with our Parish name and 150th Celebration. Donation is $20.
Due to their popularity, our first order of rosaries have all been purchased. A re-order has been placed and more custom, hand-made rosaries are due to arrive in October.
HAPPY 105TH BIRTHDAY
The Parish Family extends best wishes to our Parish-ioner, Delia Advincula. She was born on August 20, 1914 and will be 105 years old on Tuesday. What an accomplishment!
Best wishes to you, Delia!

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
SCRIP is sold in Rectory Meeting Room 1.
Summer Schedule for SCRIP Sunday: 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM;
Monday, 9-11 AM; Thursday: 9-11 AM and 6:30-8:30 PM; Friday, 9-11 AM.
EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE IN SCRIP! SCRIP is a popular fund raiser because you don’t have to sell anything. All you do is make regular household purchases that you would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with SCRIP. When you purchase the certificates, you will receive a voucher worth money for any Catholic School tuition (Grades Pre-K through College and PREP Programs). The credit voucher is based on the amount of certificates you buy and the discount for that particular store. You do not need to have children in school in order to participate in this fund-raising activ-ity. You may select to help a particular school family or designate your vouchers to the Parish Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). This program helps to keep the tuition costs down for our school. If you would like to learn more about this program, contact our SCRIP Coordina-tors, Nancy Smith and Leanne Goodwin, at the Rectory during SCRIP Hours.
