We began our school year focused on this theme of JOY and certainly continue to experience JOY as we move into the final five weeks of the 2016-17 school year. is year has been filled with community outreach, prayer, laughter, learning and hard work. And, it is not over yet as we have 5 weeks of school leſt to complete with much more in store for the children. Please encourage your sons/daughters to stay strong and stay committed on doing their best, especially those 8th graders who may be feeling a bit weary as they near the home stretch! I am excited to announce we have selected Angela Gunderson, who has been with ASCS since our 2nd year, to teach Middle School eology at the North Campus and serve as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at all three campuses for the 2017-18 school year. Angela will spend most of next year, looking at our data, aligning curriculum and supporting teachers in their instructional practices. I will work closely with Angela and continue to serve in my role as Principal. In addition, we are in need of a K4, 3rd grade and a part time Reading teacher as Ms. Kinzler, Ms. Vera and Ms. Eisenhauer have taken positions outside of the ASCS community. Mrs. Probst will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies at the North Campus next school year. We are so grateful for the work of Misses Kinzler, Vera and Eisenhauer at ASCS and will miss them! Given we have over 50 faculty and staff members, we expect some turnover each year; yet, we feel grateful for the many teachers who remain committed to continued service at ASCS. Finally, our K4 and our 2nd grade classrooms at North Campus are at full capacity. Please complete your re-enrollment if you haven’t already done so for the 2017-18 school years.
