HOLY SPIRIT The Spirit is coming! The Spirit is coming! “It’s not new wine. We’re drunk on God’s presence.” God is so overwhelming that we can only drop our jaws and marvel when we receive the Spirit. Christ Jesus “tuned down his godness” (kenosis) so he could deal with us as equals. Today, the fiftieth part of Easter—Pentecost—all three persons of the Holy Trinity burst forth with love, rolling like fiery lava over creation, filling the faithful with the divine Spirit of life. This Sunday the Church celebrates its beginning, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and Mary in the upper room at Pentecost. According to New Testament accounts, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit was the sign that distinguished Christians from the rest of the world. The Church today still believes that the Holy Spirit dwells in every baptized Christian. However there are many of us Christians today that are not aware of its presence, or the power that it can have in our lives. Do we pray to the Holy Spirit? And if not, why not?
The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself, when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit. It is still the only novena officially prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the divine guidance so sorely needed by every Christian. There are many ways to pray to the Holy Spirit this is only one of them.
Oh, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that you desire of me and to accept all that you permit to happen to me. Let me only know your will.
On this special day of Pentecost we pray for all of our graduates, who will leave their parents homes, and begin their own journey to discover the plan that God has for them. Let us pray that they would be aware of the gift of the Holy Spirit dwelling in their lives, guiding and leading them.

Wow, what a great year! We will miss our kiddos over the summer. All the students worked so hard this year, they deserve a break (the teachers might need one too). We are so thankful that we get to be a part of their education.
We have started a committee for the 3rd of July parade. We are going to be having a float in the parade. If anyone would like to help build or have some materials you would like to donate to our parade float, contact Kristina in the School Office at 507-373-9657.
There is still plenty of time to get registered for the 2018-2019 school year. Tuition assistance is available, contact us for more information.. Tootsie Roll Drive: Thank you for your generous church support of $760 plus for Freeborn County ARC . Your giving helps our neighbors with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The KC Tootsie Roll Drive is not done yet! Currently the ARC will be receiving $994 and MN Special Olympics will get $104.
Rummage Sale: Set your calendars to attend our Knights of Columbus Rummage Sale on Saturday, June 16th at the KC

TV Mass Filming Attendees: On June 14th,
2018, we have the wonderful opportunity to host the filming of four future Sunday Masses . There are multiple ways you can be a part! We will need lectors, musicians, cantors, servers and attendees.
