• Other Takeaways:• Evaluations that require face-to-face assessment or observations would be delayed until school reopens• Evaluation that do not require face to face assessment or observations may take place while schools are closed• A recommendation was made to get parent agreement in writing to extend assessment and IEP meeting timelines• ESY services should be provided is previously offered and agreed to, may need to develop an amendment• Creating a record of compliance: Document communication with parents, keep a service log, capture your distance learning
plan • PWN when: parents do not consent to proposed IEP amendment, parents ask for in-home services that LEA does not agree
to provide, Parents to not respond to attempts to communicate and/or provide services• Agreement to extend timelines

As of May 11th, SEIS is still not updating to CALPADS. They have
paused this synchronization to fix the duplicate SPED transaction error (SPED0375). We are waiting on
further updates from SEIS on when this will resolved.
While waiting to begin CALPADS EOY 3 and 4 reporting, which has to wait for
the above to be corrected, we ask that DLUs and the rest of your local SPED team work on ensuring that
outstanding IEP issues are resolved and that they are affirm/attested in
SEIS.
If you are a high school district, please continue updating post-secondary
information in SEIS
All districts should be in contact with any NPS schools where students are
placed and seeking updated discipline and related reports so that this data can be reported to CALPADS as well.
