1. Purpose. To disseminate the Graduation Plan for graduates of the Class of 2019 and establish specific responsibilities for executing the ceremony.
2. Background. The graduation ceremony will be held at 1000 on Tuesday, 28 May 2019 in Memorial Hall. The Official Party consists of the Commandant of Midshipmen, a Chaplain, and a representative of the Class of 1969. There are two graduates/commissions.

3. Responsibilities. Specific responsibilities are as follows:

a. Commandant of Midshipmen, U.S. Naval Academy. Participate or provide an Official Party member who will provide graduation remarks, confer the degree, and commission the Navy graduates.
b. The Senior Marine, US Naval Academy. Participation not required.
c. Academic Dean and Provost. Participation not required.
d. Midshipmen Activities Officer (MAO): Overall coordination for the event.
e. Chaplain. Participate as Official Party member providing invocation and benediction.
f. Photo Lab. Participation not required.
g. Band. Participation not required.

h. Midshipmen Personnel. Provide USN commissioning ce1tificates to MAO by 14 May.
1. Registrar. Provide diplomas, ready for pick up by 14 May 2019.
J. Alumni Association. Provide name and contact information of the Class of 1969 representative who will participate in the ceremony and provide the first insignia.
k. Bancroft Hall Building Manager
( 1) Provide technical services including, one podium, one small table, and PA system, three Flags (Ensign, U.S. Navy, U.S. Naval Academy).
(2) Place reserved signs in seating areas for graduates and faculty/staff members.
1. Security Officer. Services not required.
m. TAD Personnel. Services not required.
n. Battalion/Company Officers and Senior Enlisted. All are invited to attend as guests.
4. Procedure. The Commissioning Ceremony will be executed as delineated. Schedule of events is enclosure (1). Diagram oflocation is enclosure (2).
a. Unifo1m will be Service Dress White (USN) or Blue White Dress "B" (USMC) for the Official Party. The unifotm for attendees and Battalion/Company Officers, Company Enlisted Leaders, and military staff is Summer Whites (USN) or Marine Corps equivalent Dress Blue "D".
b. Graduates being commissioned in the Navy will wear Service Dress White with Midshipmen in Rank shoulder boards and ribbons; no gloves, nametags, or covers will be worn.
c. Rehearsal will consists of short walk through 30 minutes prior to ceremony.
