The commencement ceremony and reception took place on the Mexico campus multipurpose building, where around five-hundred friends, family, and fellow believers gathered to witness the special event. Colegio Biblico has delivered another generation of Christian workers to the Church. Fifteen On May 19, the faculty and staff gathered to review the ending of the 2013-2014 academic year. Ron Key, Trustee, had a compelling message from God’s Word to inspire the staff and faculty. We are continually grateful that God keeps us motivated and encouraged in the ministry of Colegio Biblico. The Nehemiah Project is on its way to build the perimeter wall of the Mexico campus. The contruction of the wall is in so much need due to the insecurity in the border city of Piedras Negras, which affects Colegio Biblico’s Mexico campus. We didn’t undertake this particular project because we had the resources to carry it out, but because we need to provide security for our students and staff that live on campus. We believe in the generosity of God’s people to help us in this much needed project. The total budgeted cost for this project is $72,000. The wall is being built in four stages. Stage one is building the wall on the south side of the campus. This stage will require the amount of $18,000. We need you to be part of this project. We thank God for His faithful work in these graduates. Colegio Biblico’s choir had a special musical participation that lead to the commencement message by professor Jose Manuel Barajas. Afterward followed the anticipated events, starting with Octavio Ruiz, Registrar, who stated that each of the hard-working students had successfully met the requirements of graduation. Then Gonzalo Flores, President of Colegio Biblico, proceeded to hand each student their hard-earned diploma. Next, Chris Roberts, Chairman of the Trustees, took part in congratulating each student by sliding their tassel over as a symbol of graduation. Finally, each graduate recieved the symbolic Towel of Service by Daniel Llamas, Academic Dean, symbolizing they have been trained to go serve the Lord as well as His Church. We’d like to thank those who joined us in the moving ceremony. It was a wonderful blessing to see everyone’s support. Here at Colegio Biblico, we appreciate your encouraging prayers and God’s amazing provisions that have helped us finish this academic year.
