Meet Betty Harris Betty’s first knowledge of the Fountains was from Brenda Rummell, who was the Activity Director, for 11 years, at the previous facility where Betty lived. Her son-in-law, Damon Seale, was invited to the Fountains to tune the piano. He fell in love with the facility and told Betty’s daughter, Terri, that they had to see it. So Terri and Betty, with their interest piqued, made several trips to the Fountains before signing on the dotted line. Betty moved in on the second day the facility opened! Betty is a native of this area, having lived all of her life in Nashville, Brentwood or Franklin with the exception of one year in California. She couldn’t wait to get back to the hills of Tennessee. Betty graduated in 1948 from Isaac Litton High School and went to work for the U.S Bankruptcy Court, later retiring from the U.S. District Court in 1990. She actually met her husband, Reuben, on her first day at the courthouse. Reuben worked for the Atomic Energy Commission and retired from the University of Tennessee. Unfortunately, Reuben passed away in March, 2012. Betty and Reuben operated a National Daylily Display Garden for 12 years in a residential area of Brentwood. A koi pond was outside her kitchen window. Tour buses visited regularly. e garden had 500 daylilies and hundreds of perennials that were sold to the public and shipped all over the country. Betty was known as “the Daylily Lady”. Betty is blessed with 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. When asked about her order of importance in life, her response is God, family, friends, exercise, crafts and computer. She delights in attempting to make newcomers at the Fountains feel at home and values her friendships with the residents. Brenda keeps her busy with many activities, and she loves her fitness class. As stated earlier, she also loves to spend time on her computer. In short, Betty is a walking/talking advertisement for the Fountains. She and her family feel blessed she is here. 300 Celebration Circle Franklin, TN 37067 Phone: 615.567.3717 www.fountainsfranklin.com MAY 2014 Make sure to ‘like’ the Fountains of Franklin facebook page! MAYARMED FORCES DAY

Meet Jennifer FisherJennifer was born and raised here in Williamson County. She has always lived in a small country community. Jennifer is a Resident Assistant, here, at the Fountains of Franklin, and we are very happy that she is a part of our ‘family’! Having a love for helping people, Jennifer eventually would like to go back to school to be a social worker or a nurse. She is undecided which one, but feels that either would be a good career choice for her. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children, hiking, swimming, and almost anything involving the outdoors. She is the mother of two beautiful children, Annabelle, 3 years old and Braydin, 7 years old. They are a perfect family unit and busy with activities all the time. When asked, Jennifer exudes that she is happier at the Fountains of Franklin than any other past job she has had. She feels that working as a Resident Assistant is building her experience to further her career path, especially if she chooses nursing.
