A new establishment in Bro- ken Bow, The Pie Lady opened its doors on March 3 rd at 115 West First Street. The Pie Lady is a bakery fea- turing Ann Carter who has cooked since age 9, baked at Stevens Gap Restaurant for 3 years, and was featured in Southern Living Magazine in 2006. The eatery features many varieties of cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, breads, and delicious creamy “Cheese Cakes”, all baked fresh daily! While visiting you can enjoy a breakfast of Homemade Bis- cuits and Chocolate Gravy or “Sawmill Gravy” with Ham, Bacon or Sausage, or maybe a bowl of Homemade Soup and Cornbread or Soup and Salad. You are invited to participate in the McCurtain County Shrine Club Benefit Golf Tournament on Friday, June 6, 2008. Bring your own four-person scramble team or be assigned to a team for a 9:00 AM tee time. Trophies plus will be awarded for 2 places in 2 flights. Refreshments, food and door prizes will be available and you can enjoy Broken Bow, Oklahoma’s own Oklahoma National @ Cedar Creek Golf Course. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive and longest putt. Two mulligans ($5 each) will be available. The cost is $60 per individual or $240 per team.
