Dear Band Members, Directors and Guests,

Welcome! As Grand Marshal it is my pleasure to welcome you to our city for the 45th Annual Foothill Band Review.

Each year, Pleasanton looks forward with great anticipation to this event. The community comes alive with the sights and sounds of marching and music. It all starts in the morning with a vibrant and colorful parade down Main Street, followed by other competitions throughout the day. We are proud to be home to the overall oldest, largest and certainly the most beautiful band review in Northern California.

During your visit, we hope you will take this opportunity to become acquainted with Pleasanton -- browse our shops, enjoy our fabulous restaurants and visit the "Heart of Pleasanton", our beautiful and historic Downtown.

Again, welcome to Pleasanton and best of luck on another memorable competi-tion!

Sincerely,

Jerry T. Thorne Mayor

Mayor Thorne has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Zoology from the University of Tennessee.
