JVIMS-KBS MCA College shares the campus with four other institutions viz Commerce, Management, Computer Applications and Diploma Studies. All have distinguished record of achievements. The academic environment generated by the interaction between professional disciplines has a stimulating influence, especially in the formative years of young students. The students of this institute have so far been consistently securing top ranks in Gujarat Technological University examinations. The performance of a student in the examinations is not the sole criterion of the quality of education acquired; nevertheless, it is an important indication of the effectiveness of the academic inputs.

The pedagogic system is oriented towards decision making and the curriculum is updated continuously to ensure that it is synchronized with the current and the future needs of the realistic industry. • Asst.Prof. Apexa Joshi had Published a paper on topic “Novel Proposed Sculpt for police force Journeying data mining techniques in crime tendency investigation & felon and law enforcement profiling” in the Ganpat University International Conference on Emerging Management Practices value creation for sustainable growth in 21st Century(GCeMP 2K13 – February 8-9, 2013) in association with AIMS Victoria university Melbourne Australia.

• Asst.Prof. Apexa Joshi’s Paper was Selected (paper id : 379 ,Title : “Brainy proposed technique for low enforcement agency”) in INDIAcom – 2014 International conference on computing for sustainable global development technically sponsored by IEEE at bharti vidyapeeth , New Delhi(05 to 07 march 2014)

• Asst Prof. Bhavin Majithia secured Best Paper Presentation award in ICT Track at International Conference held at Christ College, Rajkot on 25th January, 2014. The paper was entitled Knowledge Management using ICT.

Sports ComplexApart from the academics, JVIMS-KBS encourages students to indulge in various sports activities such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Handball, Cricket, Chess etc. JVIMS-KBS has a well equipped Sports Complex with provisions for all indoor games under one roof within the campus. There is a Sport committee to promote sports activities and participation in inter college competitions.

The Learning CentersThe classrooms or learning centers provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussion. They are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like projectors and audio-visual systems creates the right atmosphere for long hours of study.

The LibraryThe fully equipped library runs on automated software with the latest multimedia library facilities. It has a modern collection of books and periodicals primarily related to management and allied subjects. It is a hub for all academic activities and the students can also use it as a place for quiet-self-study. The wide array of books, journals, audio-visual materials meet the learning needs of the academic community of the institute.

The Computer centre has a state-of-the art infrastructure with advanced computing facilities to provide unbridled free 24x7 internet access to all the students round the year. The computers are of advanced configuration and latest software are available to provide holistic IT training facilities. The entire campus is interlinked with internet & intranet with broadband connection. The multimedia ready computers, operating in Wi–Fi campus provide a wonderful backend support to the students and teachers in extracting and extending the best quality learning and teaching environments.

AccomodationThe quality of student accommodation is an essential ingredient in academic success and enjoyment of student life. The Institute has made arrangement for lodging and boarding of outstation participants. Befitting the standards of the participants in a professional education program, the Institute has evolved a system to provide guaranteed accommodation on the basis of their confirmed request. All residents are provided furnished accommodation. Halls of residence are equipped with water coolers, solar heating system, water Pelletier’s.

The Chill Out Zone - CafeteriaThe aesthetically designed cafeteria at institute campus serves a nourishing buffet and other la carte option to students and faculty. Both quality and quantity are the utmost priority. The cafeteria is a neat and tidy place to have sumptuous meals at subsidized rate.

Social RoleTo make our students socially responsible citizens, social events like tree plantation, visits, collection, donations to weaker sections of the society, old age homes etc are organized. It allows them to project their potentials, multiple talents, team work and spirit of collectiveness inculcating in them, the virtues of cooperation, coordination, projection, expanding and enhancing their knowledge base in range and depth.

Seminars & WorkshopsEmphasis is laid on presentation and seminars to prepare prospective programmers to be pro-active in seeking, acquiring and sharing knowledge. Conducted by experts and specialists trainers for faculty and students to assist them to acquire specialized topic based knowledge and to enhance & sharpen their competitive skills to face corporate challenges.

Guest LecturesAt JVIMS-KBS we invite guest speakers who inspire, stimulate and inform the students about the current scenario in corporate world. Guest lectures enrich academic content of classroom by giving practical insights in to the subject matter. Interactive session with the guests help in producing the multi-faceted talent with knowledge of & out of text.

Mentor GroupsAn innovative idea to augment guidance and motivation to the students is through mentor groups. A mentor group comprises of many students and a mentor faculty is assigned to the group. A student mentor is designated who helps and cooperates with the group to augment their learning under the guidance of the faculty mentor. This provides a close and informal, out of the class room interaction, between the faculty and students, owing to the small size of the group.

"NO wind is favorable if the destination port is unknown". To reach the final destination, the placement team is formed at JVIMS-KBS. This committee is a good blend of students from various specializations and background, and are responsible for managing different portfolios. Efforts are put by placement team to find suitable jobs for the students qualifying for the award of MCA degree. The placement team has received a very good response from domestic as well as multinational companies for its placement activities. The placement efforts will yield appreciating results.

The third batch of the college is going to pass put in June 2014 and is currently undergoing project at various software companies. vWide range of platforms and technologies are being offered by the companies for implementation. Their exposure to handle live projects ensures the application and implementation of the theoretical concepts and techniques learnt as part of academics. Companies are being approached and invited to carry out campus interviews to augment their placement.

Oshwal Education Trust (OET), has been a 'Brain Child' of Shri R.K.Shah, Managing Trustee, under whose able leadership the trust has matured into a complete educational need provider. His untiring zeal has been instrumental in starting various institutes in a short span of time, all being managed aptly by dedicated trustees.

In 1995, Shri Bipinchandra T. Vadhar with his rich experience as an administrator and as a management expert took over the reins of the trust as the "Director of Higher Education". Having realized the dearth for English Medium College and the plight of the students who had to leave the city in order to pursue higher education. He worked zealously contributing his might both quantitatively and quantitatively to establish English medium College namely "Shri Gosar Hansraj Gosrani Commerce & Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda B.B.A. College. " He is highly instrumental in making M.B.A. a reality.

These centres of learning are the fruitful outcome of the creation engineered by the founders through their untiring efforts. Several generations to come will remain indebted to the founders for their glorious vision, which was translated into action.

Oshwal Education Trust was registered on 14th January 1986, as Charitable Trust, in order to provide "English Medium" educational facilities to the students of Jamnagar. One educational institute after another came up in quick succession.
