Dear McGary Parents, Guardians and Friends,
Hello Pioneer Families!
School will be in session on April 15th and
April 18th due to Snow days.
We are currently making up 2 other snow days,
Virtual. The dates for these make up days are
February 22, and March 28th. Information was sent
home through Students. If you did not receive information
on virtual, see the following pages.
Spring I-Step is starting, it will start:
March 1st, and continue until March 4th.
Please make sure your Student:
arrives on time,
has Breakfast, and
gets a good night rest.

MARCH/APRIL 2016
7th Grade Drama Students
will be performing folktales for preschoolers
at Culver Family Community Center during
March. Students will be performing the following folktales:
“Martina, the Beautiful Cockroach”- a Cuban folktale.
“The Magic Paintbrush”- a Chinese folktale.
“How the Zebra Got Its spots” - an African creation tale,
And “A Gift from the Crocodile”- an African Cinderella Story.
8th Grade Art Class Students will be
experimenting with silk screening projects. Students will be creating their
own piece that reflecting their heritage in the medium of silk screening.
A copy of one final project will be chosen, professionally framed, and hung
In the Art Hallway of McGary.
This is all possible due to a grant from the Public
Education Foundation ‘Excellence in Education.’

8th Grade Advanced Drama Class
Our 8th grade Students along with Evansville
Day School will be presenting “Science” Projects for a
S.T.E.A.M. event sponsored by Children’s Museum of
Evansville (C.M.O.E.) and the Evansville Philharmonic which
will take place at C.M.O.E:
March 16th, 17th, & 18th.
