NYLAPLATE® Seal

– Combined labyrinth and contact seal

– Vents help reduce seal blow during re-lubrication

– Temperature rating of -30° to 300°F (-35° to 150°C)

– Specify suffix “S” or “SS”

• Ex SB-22308-W33-SS

NYLAPLATE® High Temperature Seal

– Temperature rating of 300° to 450°F (150° to 230°C)

– Also suited for chemical contamination

– Specify suffix “TS” or “TSS” along with a grease code suffix

• Ex SB-22308-C3-W33-TSS-VA

• VA is a standard high temp grease

Both have a max misalignment capability of ± 2° for best seal performance

Sealed bearings are factory filled with grease– -S, -SS, -YS, -YSS bearings filled

with #2 EP grease, -30° to 350°F (-35° to 150°C)

– -TS, -TSS bearings filled with high temp grease (VA), 40° to 450°F (4° to 230°C)

W33 feature used for bearing lubrication– Groove in outer ring with oil holes

Relubrication of bearing dependent on speed, temperature, environment, loads

In many cases, bearing will need some re-lubrication interval
