Meadow Blend Hand & Body Wash is the soap-free cleanser for everyone in the family. Formulated with herbal extracts of arnica and juniper, it also contains wheat germ oil to soothe and soften skin. It gently cleans the face and effectively cleans the body - it's great for sensitive skin. It has a light citrus and lavender fragrance, contains no harsh ingredi­ents, and no added color.

Soap has been with us through the ages as our all-purpose cleaner. And today it is still the most popular cleanser. But we've learned that soap and the skin are actually at opposite ranges of the pH scale. Soap hy its very nature is drying and alkaline. It is a mixture of fatty acids such as lye and tallow, which can cause skin irritation and clogged pores, and can affect the skin's natural acid coating - termed the "natural acid mantle" - each time the skin is washed.

Soap can actually shift the skin's normal acid halance to the alkaline side. When that hap­pens, the acid mantle disappears. Since the acid mantle plays a significant role in main­taining the health of the skin and is a natural mechanism to protect against bacterial infec­

tion and invasion as well as dryness, it is criti­

cal that it be protected, not destroyed.

Fast Facts Handle your hair with care. Wet hair is weak hair. When wet, hair can stretch up to 65% of its original length. Wrap hair turban style, allowing the towel to absorb the water. Vigorously rubbing, shampooing, drying, or brushing and combing the hair tends to weaken the shaft and causes split ends.

Comb damp hair gently with a wide-toothed detangling comb. If you blow dry, use the low set­ting on the dryer. Beware of unleashing powerful blasts of heat on your hair. High heat and rough handling can dam­age hair. Try putting paper on electric rollers so hair never touches the hot roller.

Hairbrushes are a breeding ground for bacteria and should be washed frequently. Soak your brush in a sink full of warm water to which you add a I V2 capfulls of Basic-G. Rinse thoroughly and let dry.

Your hairstyle may play a part in your hair's health. Tight ponytails, braids, and rollers, as well as persistent teasing, bleaching and perming, may adversely affect the growth of the hair shaft. A very tight ponytail worn too long can cause a receding hairline, even in young girls.
