Skippack‘s beginning reaches back to 1702, as emigrants came to the area and settled along the banks of the Skippack Creek. Later in the century, General George Washington gave Skippack a place in history when his troops encamped here during the Revolutionary War. Today, Skippack Village, this one-time 1900’s rural trolley route, is now one of the quaintest villages in the state. Intriguing shops, quaint boutiques, and restaurants with savory fare entice people from near and far . . . many deciding to stay.

Skippack is situated in virtually the heart of Montgomery County. Within minutes of major highways such as the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Northeast Extension, US Routes 29 and 422, and Interstates 476 and 76, residents of the township have easy access to many employment, shopping, and historical centers. The Valley Forge National Historical Park, Greenlane Reservoir, and Evansburg State Park are all close by offering you a variety of nature escapes. At the same time, the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, Plymouth Meeting Mall, and King of Prussia Mall are close by to accommodate your shopping sprees.

Homeowner AssociAtion

The Meadow Glen at Skippack Homeowner’s Association maintains the entranceway, islands, and open space, as well as the pool, Community Center, and recreational facilities. The Homeowner’s Association is also responsible for the roadway, snow plowing, trash, lawn maintenance, and more.
