How do I apply?
On a day to day basis your role would involve:
DESIGNING
MANUFACTURING
VISUALISING
SUPPORTING
Using industry standard tools to bring cutting edge audio and radio products to life
Liaising with subcontractors to bring designs to life
Coming up with ideas for the look of new and existing products and conveyingthose ideas through 3D rendering
Working alongside marketing, testing and other engineering colleagues
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS3+ years commercial experience of CAD/CAM product design software, including but not limited to Solidworks
ESSENTIAL SKILLSProficient in Solidworks including recent versionsExperience in sheet metal and machined metal design and manufacturingKnowledge of safety design rules for electric/electronic productsSolid understanding of managing SolidWorks projects, libraries, versioningUnderstanding of engineering practices (design reusability, DFM, DFT)3D rendering and visualisation, for conceptual and marketing
IT WOULD BE FANTASTIC IF YOU ALSO HAD ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:Ability to handle and organize multiple projects at the same timeKnowledge of electronics and PCB design (Altium) is a big advantageBasic analogue and digital electronics design

Job description.
We are looking for a talented and passionate Solidworks Product Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. Candidates will need to be enthusiastic and be ready to take on new challenges. You will be involved in bringing new products to the market, utilising your experience of 3D and CAD/CAM product design. We need an excellent communicator, who works well in a team but with the discipline and knowledge to get on with appointed tasks, seeking help where required. As part of the Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to input your own ideas and see them become reality!
