Cancer patients are one of the biggest users of blood and blood products as part of their cancer-fighting treatments. As a supporter of THON, the Red Cross will donate $2.00 and Blaise Alexander Family Dealership will donate $.25 to THON for all presenting donors. The donor can credit the $2.25 donation to any THON fundraising organization of his/her choice. Give one hour to donate blood before your 46 and you could save up to three lives. Who: Penn Student Student Red Cross Club & The American Red Cross Greater Alleghenies Blood Region join forces to aid the IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon What: THON-sponsored and themed blood drives in need of more student participants. Donors can make their appointments via the Red Cross Blood Donor App or going to redcrossblood.org. Where: 2/9 Pollock Halls, 1:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 2/10 Pollock Halls, 1:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 2/10 Hintz Alumni Center, 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 2/11 Pasquerilla Spirtual Center,10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 2/16 Millennium Science Complex, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 2/19 Nittany Lion Inn, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Why: The goal of this THON Blood Drive campaign is to not only raise money to fight pediatric cancer, but also collect blood that cancer patients need to fight cancer!
