QUESTION 4 Blogger I used website blogger.com to present my whole project, from product research, to the design layouts for my ancillaries, to my draft edit and final project. The website was an easy way to showcase my collections of work documents, as well as making it easy to navigate. After using the website in AS year, I was already familiar with the different way posting different forms of media such as YouTube videos and SlideShare videos differing from posting photographs and text straight onto a blog post. Overall, the website has helped me to present my work in an organised fashion. Adobe Photoshop Having acquired Photoshop skills in AS year, image manipulation was a simple task for my A2 ancillary projects creating a digipak and magazine advert. As I was already familiar with the tools and techniques of the programme, I was able to complete my ancillary projects rather quickly. The main techniques I used for my ancillary projects were the layering effect of multiple images after adjusting brightness, saturation and contrast, and then using the eraser tool to delete parts of the layered images I did not want in the final image. This programme was used for the construction stage of my project. Adobe Premier As a completely new programme, I had to first get to grips with the tools of Adobe Premier, creating quick mock ups by piecing clips together as well as creating our draft edit. It took a while to get used to the different editing techniques, such as effects on the blending of two clips together using cross fade, but eventually the programme became a useful tool within the construction stage for creating our final project music video. Slideshare I was already familiar with the online website from AS year, as we used it frequently to upload power points and word documents of things such as our product research. I used this website again this year as it was a simple way to help present my research onto my media blog. Facebook We used Facebook within the research stage of our project to collect feedback on our draft edit of our music video. We had used the social media site last year, creating a focus group for our magazine feedback. As it proved to be a quick and easy way to get peoples opinions on our projects, we thought we would use it again this year. The social media site allowed us to set up a focus group with a select group of people within our target audience age range to watch our draft music video, with a link to the video its self in the group. We asked the members of the focus group to comment on what they liked about the video, what they didn't like, and what they thought we could improve on. We received their feedback almost instantly, which was helpful as we were able to figure out what changed we needed to make for our final edit. Prezi Used within the evaluation stage of my project to answer Question 1. As this question required a lot of visual examples in the form of photographs and stills taken from our music video, I decided to use Prezi as an excited way to display my examples instead of using a straightforward powerpoint presentation. I had used the programme in AS year for one of my evaluation questions, and it had worked effectively to demonstrate examples of my own work to the viewer.

QUESTION 4

Blogger

I used website blogger.com to present my whole project, from product research, to the design layouts for my ancillaries, to my draft edit and final project. Adobe Photoshop

Having acquired Photoshop skills in AS year, image manipulation was a simple task for my A2 ancillary projects creating a digipak and magazine advert. Facebook

We used Facebook within the research stage of our project to collect feedback on our draft edit of our music video. We had used the social media site last year, creating a focus group for our magazine feedback. As it proved to be a quick and easy way to get

people’s opinions on our projects, we thought we would use it again this year. The social

media site allowed us to set up a focus group with a select group of people within our target audience age range to watch our draft music video, with a link to the video its self in the group. We asked the members of the focus group to comment on what they liked about the video, what they didn't like, and what they thought we could improve on. We received their feedback almost instantly, which was helpful as we were able to figure out what changed we needed to make for our final edit. Prezi

Used within the evaluation stage of my project to answer Question 1.
